Indie MMORPG Legion: The Eternal War Recruits Gaiscioch for Some Guidance A new MMORPG was recently revealed by a studio of our friends from the north in Canada. They've recruited a few of us to help them guide the development of their game and provide testing support as it moves forward. If you've ever wanted to see a game while it's being developed this is a good chance. You will be talking directly with devs in this and you will never have a better chance to have developers hear your suggestions as you will in one of these Pre-Alpha tests. If you're interested in participating in this testing team please let me know and I can get you set up. But I need people who are in it to help make better games, not people looking to try before they buy. This game is very early in its development phase and is mostly testing various game systems at this point, at set dates and times. It's nowhere near its final form.

Prepare for Rune 2 Betas! Sharpen those axes! Last month Rune 2 ran a quick beta for their deathmatch mode. Over the next month, we should get a peek at the new 4-player coop campaign. Since it shifted directions from a PVP survival game to a cooperative adventure with various additional PvP modes (more in line with the classic Rune) fans have been pretty divided. Personally, I welcome the change and look forward to adventuring with a few of you who decide to play.

Ashes of Creation Resurfaces with More Apocalypse Testing The first piece of the actual MMO makes its way to testing this month. The Mayoral Caravan escort missions will be appearing on the apocalypse testing platform soon. These will be mostly PvE (not sure if PvP is included at all) and require you and your friends to move a caravan from one city to another. All the while surviving waves of being attacked by all means of creatures. This is the framework for one of the cornerstone systems of expanding your node's wealth and fortune. In addition, we should see siege testing this fall if they stick to their timeline. Once this makes its way into testing expect to see an event on the calendar.

Astellia Has Serious Potential. Most Overlooked MMORPG of 2019 Yes, it's Eastern, yet there is NO forced PvP. After playing the first beta extensively and taking the booster to Max level. This game seriously reminds me of RIFT. It plays and feels very similar. The coolest aspect is that you can set up your skills to fire in any order by pressing the same key. Much like how you would set up macros in RIFT, Astellia allows you to sequence your skills to make button-mashing easier.

Gaiscioch Finds A Home In Lord of the Rings Online There's no place like home, and now we have one! After months of waiting, we finally unlocked the ability to purchase a kin house. We found a neighborhood that was almost completely empty in Spearwall, Bree Homestead. As soon as we planted our flag the neighborhood filled up with members flocking to the village. There are all the amenities you need at or near our kin house. Task boards, merchants, crafting supplies, tools and most importantly shared vaults.

Farewell Bless Online, Breach & Kings and Heroes Three of our adventures received news that the game would be heading into the halls of forgotten games as the developers announced they were pulling the plug. It's regrettable, however, I don't believe anyone was taken by surprise on this. All 3 games had their bright spots, but all three struggled to keep their player base. Let us remember the fun times we had in these games and be sure to check out our active adventures to see what else you can play with us.

Lord of the Rings Online From a handful of players to an army we have grown. Every Friday we amass for another fun-filled adventure across middle earth and the population seems to remain constant. We typically have 20-22 players each week as we've made our way across Middle-earth. We've had a great reception with the community and players have flocked to our shores. Our roster has crossed the 100 mark and is now on a consistent growth pattern. It is the leading activity generator ranking #2 overall in Gaiscioch with 29 events logged in June. It shows no sign of slowdown and is consistently growing each week.

Astellia Online Launches into CBT CBT1 Officially kicked off last week and ran through this weekend. For those of us who were able to play we got our first look at this interesting eastern mmorpg. After the flop that was Bless, the tragedy that was Riders of Icarus, the heartbreak that was ArcheAge, the full-time job that was Black Desert, the let down that was Aion, we all have one giant burning question.

RUNE II News Surfaces Some big news Dropped this month about Rune. After last year's test the developers knew that people wanted more story and less sandbox survival game. What was needed was a massive undertaking that wasn't going to be cheap. Their coffers were running low and they had two options. Rush the game out the door in a state they knew would not appease the gods, or find an investor that could give their studio another 6 months to fix and adapt the game to what the players were asking for.

Join us at the Summit for a Look at new Adventures At this months Summit I'll be showing some trailers from some of our newest adventures. We've got some pretty cool games announced over the last quarter and some surprises in store. It seems the industry is trying to find that next big thing and many studios are looking to "make a lasting experience, not a cash grab". The past few years have been laced with quick buy-2-play early access, then the studio just moves on to the next thing. These quick cash grabs have decimated the number of people who are even willing to support a title before launch and more so have driven the financial gains away from the studios who actually need it and have long term plans.

Sail the Atlas… a Bit Later Many of you likely saw the very dramatic and action packed trailer for Atlas during the Video Games Award presentation. Everything in that trailer looked awesome. However, their tight deadline for early access resulted in a 9 day delay, and like most games the first week was a bit of a nightmare. Let this be a lesson for all developers. Never Launch an Early Access game the week before Christmas. All you'll get is a bah humbug.

Rune Delayed In a move I wish more developers would take, Human Head Studios decided to delay the launch of early access until "Winter" to allow them more time to polish the game and improve game systems after a grueling series of technical tests. They don't want to release an unfinished product and try to win back people over time. They want to astonish out the gate and improve upon a solid start. That said we will happily wait for the game to make it's way to Steam before forming up our Rune Social Adventure. If your interested in learning more about Rune head to https://gsch.info/play/rune

In the vein of Fortnite you have a base to defend and you must build up fortifications to protect it from waves of relentless foes. In addition, it has a 3 faction siege warfare mechanic built into the game. To Arms! Join us in Gloria Victis Alas, one of the games I have worked with is finally in a place where I want to share it with others. Nearly 5 years ago Black Eye Games put out a self run crowdfunding campaign for a new four faction themed after real world nations with no magic and straight true to medieval combat. I quickly became embedded with the team and flushed out a huge 21 page document outlining the perfect guild system. Years have passed, the map has grown, new factions have been added (now at 3) and the gameplay has drastically improved.

Bless Online Off to a Rough But Improving Start What started as a very rough takeoff has begun to normalize and stabilize. The instant rush of people who were expecting the eastern game localized for the west caused disconnection issues as well as other server integrity problems that NEOWIZ wasn't quite expecting. The general public largely overlooked the fact that the game was part of Steam's Early Access program which is essentially public beta testing and a good way to help up and coming developers fund the development of their titles. It was not a full game release and that upset quite a few people.

I plan to stream a short event every week Sunday mornings from 11-1PM PT upon release and welcome anyone who would like to join to feel free to come out and have some fun. This is going to be low key and recreational and I do not intend to make it a big thing. If you’re looking for a more full time guild but still want to hang out with us on sundays feel free to type +rank Bless in discord to unlock and join the channel.

Ironsight Enters Open Beta Well, I tried to create a GSCH in Ironsight but apparently GSCH means something in Korea that is considered derogatory. It's a prohibited word in Ironsight. So we are known as Laoch in Ironsight. I currently have it set to open join. They are starting to unveil their PVE modes to go with their PVP modes. This game seriously plays like Ghost in the Shell did and is quite a bit of fun. If you’re into FPS, I wouldn't mind having a wing person to stream it with. Social Adventure News - February 2018 MU Legend Launches Territory Control
We are actively looking for PvP Warriors who can lead our family to victory in MU Legend on Sundays between 2 and 4PM PT. MU Legend launched its territory wars system this past month and it's 100% scheduled sieges. We are trying to get a 5 man team that can secure a territory for us through the weekly tournament on Sundays. Owning Territory gives us access to a lot of features as a community that we normally wouldn't have including a place to spend all that contribution we've earned. Unfortunately our core group of players can't play Sundays. So if you're playing MU Legend and want to lead our family to victory please contact Foghladha. We have a few players who will likely be on at that time we just need a leader to get them organized.
