Advancement in the Gaiscioch Family

Our family is build on a simple construct. The more you participate in events and unite with others the faster you climb the family tree. Members who choose to isolate themselves from others will not progress. Unlike most guilds, our family is build so that the Leadership needs the youth of the family to succeed and advance as the youth of the family needs the Leadership of the family to progress. Thus creating a harmonious ebb & flow of members needing to associate themselves with other members. A member can not lead without followers, and followers can not advance without a leader. By creating this harmony we create opportunities for friendships to develop. To progress into the leadership ranks, you must earn the respect of the lower ranked members.

In addition through the progression of the ranks we try to teach members to think "we" instead of "me". We teach members that you as "self" can never be as powerful as "us" as a united front. Every member no matter how big or small, strong or weak, elite or casual is a part of the whole and governs the outcome of the family. It is because of this that we can sustain such large numbers without breaking and why our opponents fear us. No Gaiscioch ever moves alone.

Progression:

The Gaiscioch family is broken into 6 groups of ranks. These groups serve as the base in game promotion markers and allow for easy understanding and maintenance of the family. Along with these 6 groups of ranks comes a series of challenges, credos, and tasks one must accept or perform.

Day One: Being a Guest of the Family

All new members begin as a Buirdeiseach which means "Freeman" in Gaelic. This means that you are free to join and leave the family as you like. This is the trial rank to make sure that our family is right for you. It gives you a no-guilt taste of what it feels like to be part of the family. If members at any time decide they would like to try something else they are free to do so and will always be welcomed at any of our events.

Becoming A New Member

Once you've had a chance to get to see us in action and you decide that you'd like to make your membership official you can register on our website and begin building your membership profile. Through your adventures you'll earn marks, achievements, badges, and earn family vault credits to purchase crafted goods. By registering you become a new member of our family and gain access to all of our tools and features.

Becoming an Official Member

About a week after you join, you will have spent some time among the family membership, you should have began claiming fellowship for the events you participated in and have a general understanding of how the family works. At this point you will accept your first credo and be welcomed into the official membership of the family. By becoming official members of the family a member can begin leading events and earning warlord ranks.

The First Month & Beyond

Veteran members have experienced life within the Gaiscioch for over a month and have claimed many victories along side members of the family. Veteran members are expected to hold and teach the beliefs and lifestyle of the family to new members and oversee the day-to-day operations to preserve our close family like atmosphere. They report problems to through the correct channels and help new members learn the ropes of the family.
