Happy 6th Birthday Guild Wars 2 Chapter! I know, I know technically it's over 7 years for us but this month marks the official launch anniversary. Our time in "knitting club" doesn't count. Check out all the good things in game for the 6th year gifts. Its amazing to think that we've spent more time in Guild Wars 2 than any other title in the past and we continue to grow and provide entertainment to the masses even 6 years later. Sanctum of Rall is Full So…. What started as a couple guilds coming over to Sanctum of Rall before the new WvW Alliance system goes live, has turned into a massive amount of people flocking to our server. On reset night triple digit queues have been seen and usually at least 2 battlefields have queues throughout the day. ArenaNet stopped the surge by locking our server to transfers.

Great Tyrian Adventure Season 5 Planning Begins It's time to start considering the Great Tyrian Adventure battleplan. I will be scheduling a meeting in June to rally the troops and start discussing our plans. The Great Tyrian Adventure is planned to kick off in October. We will need to find 5 people who can craft Legendary items (have world completion) for the grand prize pool. New Pairing on the Way It's been 8 weeks since our last pairing. This week should be the magical week that we find ourselves paired with a new set of servers. My hope is that we end up in T2-3 and get the heck out of T4. I've found the T4 servers to be highly toxic, usually underpopulated, and filled with naysayers. Likely the reason they ended up in T4 to begin with. I too have felt the burn of this over the past 8 weeks and find myself having to force myself to login each week. I long for the epic battles of T2-3. That seems to be the sweet spot for GW2. So cross those fingers and lets hope we get paired up with a good bunch like Fort Aspenwood or Tarnished Coast. Those guys were fun to play with.

Findan's Jumping Puzzle Inside our guild hall you will find a gazing eye overlooking Findan's memorial. This eye marks the start of a massive jumping puzzle I’m working on to remember him. Along the way I will be placing tribute stones that will feature memorable quotes from people who have posted to his profile about him. They will all need to be short as they limit the character count to 150. My goal is to create a puzzle players can jump their way through and read about who Findan was. If you'd like to be featured on it write something on Findan's profile or if you already have and want to say something different shoot me an email. I'm going to start placing stones soon and will need to collect about 25 quotes to pave the way.

Foghladha's WvW Moving to a New Night In December I will be juggling my events a bit more to try to find an optimal time to get us back on the WvW battlefield and while Friday's were nice for the nice split between WvW and EOTM now that reset is right at our event kickoff, we're finding we don't get to see WvW at all on Fridays. To get us back on the battlefield I will be moving WvW to Monday Nights at 6PM PT. I'm looking forward to getting back on the battlefield and contributing to the war efforts.

The Path of Fire Expansion Launches September 22nd The excitement is brewing, and many of you have already picked-up the expansion. We'll be planning some events in the new world, after the expansion launches, and I will likely postpone siege war for a few weeks so we can do things like move our guild hall and explore the new world. People are starting to flock back to the game and we're down to a 2 month AFK rotation. Anyone that's been away longer than 2 months will need to be invited back into Gaiscioch na Rall. Simply ask for an invite in your core room (Anu or Morrigan), and one of our commanders can invite you back into the active room. You can also click "Request Reinvite" on the command center to be reinvited as well, but an elder must process the invitation, which may take up to a day to process.

Siege Warfare with Allied Server Henge of Denravi Well, we went from being locked into Tier 1 to being locked into Tier 4. Talk about a swing of the pendulum. Being a mercenary server has it's ups and downs and while being paired with the last place server brings a bit of a small and mighty verses fierce and many style of gameplay, it does have it's charm. This tier is a great one to learn how to play WvW and get your feet wet. If you haven't tried WvW yet, or perhaps haven't tried it with us. I highly recommend coming out and joining the fun.

New Matchup Brings Map Queues and Full Squads to WvW Holy people batman! This month we said goodbye to Fort Aspenwood and were relinked with Stormbluff Isle and Eredon Terrace. With this pairing we went from our squads being between 30 and 35 people at primetime to being 40-50. There have been a new set of trolls to ignore but other than that they seem pretty responsive. The good news is we get to fight alongside DOC who we've been facing off with for a while now. They’re a fun bunch and are very happy to see us on the battlefield with them.

The Living World Season 3 Part 3 This past month, ArenaNet released part 3 of their adventure. This is the 3rd part that introduced an entirely new zone. I'm starting to wonder if they can keep this pace up. In addition they finally added the Guild Commendation vendor in our guild hall so no more having to go hunt him down in Lion's Arch. Lastly there's a new fractal based off Part 3 that is now available for those who wish to participate.

Guild Wars 2 Progress Report The Guild Wars 2 crew has been hard at work over the past month. We've managed to get Gaiscioch na Rall up to level 35, with just 5 more levels to go. We've begun upgrading Anu and Morrigan and SORC is currently sitting at level 25. We now have armor recipes, 24 hour buffs for almost everything, the ability to claim and upgrade any objective, several buffs for our objectives, and were just 2 levels away from the +5 supply buff.

Guild Hall Progress Report We are moving along rather well. We have started to upgrade Gaiscioch na Morrigan and Gaiscioch na Anu guild halls as well now to hopefully get Supply Camp and Tower claiming available soon. For Gaiscioch na Rall we are getting closer to the level 40 mark where we can unlock the unexplored regions of the map. (Which I've explored through careful box placement.) I've even built a Jumping Puzzle that if you can complete you'll find Foghladha's Office.

Sanctum of Rall Foreshadowing As many have noticed since the new HoT Expansion WvW has gone very quiet. With the rumor mill turning up all kinds of crazy ideas and Colin himself saying a major change to WvW is on the horizon, I want to make sure everyone is prepared for the unavoidable truth that eventually Sanctum of Rall will go away and the worlds will be mushed together like potatoes in some new form of server structure. Great Tyrian Adventure Season 4 Postponed Due to recent developments and the lack of materials to create legendaries for the next Great Tyrian Adventure, we've decided to put our plans on hold for the time being until we can build a proper prize lineup. We will be putting our efforts into getting our Guild Hall upgraded to the point of being able to unlock the Memorial Hall on top of Lost Precipice. Once we have that secure we will begin pooling resources to get the Prize Vault restocked with desirables.

Population on the Rise The summer is over and we're starting to see a lot of familiar faces returning. We've begun a slight increase over last month of about 20 people. As we near the launch of Heart of Thorns we will likely see even more entering the field. That said I know it will be easy to lose yourself in the new content but realize that for the Free-2-Play players and new players they will still be in the traditional zones. Be sure to visit often and make some new friends. We don't want to focus entirely on the HOT content and forget about those that can't get there. Overall I suspect we'll be in the +20-40 range for October.

Please Welcome Our Newest Family Commander For the past year Leslie of the Stars has been hard at work becoming the best leader possible. She has gone through great lengths to ensure she understood how things work and how she can best help the family. With the gap in Sanctum of Rall coverage being so great, Leslie without a second thought offered to step up and fill that gap, even though WvW was fairly new to her. She has displayed courage on the battlefield and continues to be one of our family's greatest knowledge sources accumulating more than 25,000 achievement points in her time in game. New Family Commanders for September 2015 This month we'll be welcoming JayRF and GmaFog/Humble Misty to the Family Commander lineup. There are several up and coming commanders we plan to work with in the future and we'll likely see a couple more added next month. Both JayRF and GmaFog have been hosting events open to the public for our family and have acted as a Gaiscioch Commander should. As always our commanders are hand picked based on leadership ability, compassion, and most importantly patience.
