Rejoining the Guild Wars 2 Community

With the launch of Path of Fire we've seen a tremendous surge of players returning to the fold. This seems like as good a time as any to go over how to get back in the community if you've been gone a while.

  1. Gaiscioch na Rall works on a Revolving Door approach
Just because you get removed from the in game guild does not mean your not part of the guild. Our community is based off of Gaiscioch.com. Anyone who has a Gaiscioch.com account is a member of our community. In game to combat the guild size cap we remove the player who has been offline the longest to send the next invite request. We keep the guild at 490 players at all times as if it caps at 500 all pending invites are discarded.

  2. To Get a Reinvite
Go to Gaiscioch.com, click "Join Chapter" next to Guild Wars 2 if it's available, then click "Request Reinvite". If you've never been in the Guild Wars 2 community you might need to add your ArenaNet.id (Unique account identifier for mail and social systems) so that we can send the invite.

  3. If you're still in Gaiscioch na Morrigan or Gaiscioch na Anu
Simply look at the guild roster, sort by rank, find an online commander or elder and ask for a re-invite to Gaiscioch na Rall. If you're in one of the lobbies, no action is needed on the website.

Once a member of the community, always a member of the community. There is always room for more. Right now we're sitting at about a 25 day rotation in Gaiscioch na Rall and a 3 year rotation on Morrigan and Anu.

Path of Fire Launch

If you somehow miraculously missed it, Path of Fire has launched and oh boy was this one a grand slam. ArenaNet learned their lessons with Heart of Thorns and really changed how they do expansions. The new Path of Fire brings all new types of events to the game as well as bounty hunts that you and your friends can pick up in town and go track down epic creatures for rewards. There are also 5 mounts that will help you traverse the world in new ways. Guild Wars 2 looks at mounts in a unique way giving each of them unique abilities that allow you to pass certain obstacles which unlock new areas of the map. Think Legend of Zelda. This adds many layers to each zone where you have a lot of replayability as you can access areas you previously could not.

To give you an idea of how well it's doing. Last night we had almost 100 members in attendance for our new Guild Hall siege. Nightly, we've been averaging between 110 and 120 players online during primetime. Things are really hopping right now and if you're looking to get involved be sure to reconnect with us and share some adventures.

New Guild Hall: Windswept Haven

Assault on Windswept Haven was successful. We amassed nearly 100 Gaiscioch for an assault on the new Guild Hall. While some had to log off along the road to the new guild hall and others had to depart before we completed the fight our perseverance paid off and after several attempts and changing our approach we managed to pull it off and secure our new Desert Oasis.

Why the guild hall change? Lost Precipice was nice in a lot of convenient ways however it was very close quarters and many of our statues, trophies and memorials were impossible to set up in places people could actually enjoy them. Everything was so tight that nobody saw most of the map. Windswept Haven stretches out a little and has many places that allow for meeting areas, trophy rooms, and memorial locations. All of which are alongside something useful. This allows us to build these key areas in areas that players will be exposed to and not tucked away into some hidden corner.

While Windswept Haven may not be our final guild hall, it will serve as a great home until the next one appears. Hopefully, we’ll eventually have one in the forest lands or even in Cantha like our Guild Wars 1 guild hall.

To get to our guild hall press "G" then click on "Guild Hall" in the top right when you have "Gaiscioch na Rall" selected.
