The Gaiscioch Community Structure

As a member of the Gaiscioch Community, you will have the opportunity to participate in many different games. We have 4 types of sub communities; they are chapters, legacy chapters, historical chapters, and social adventures.

The community differs from most gaming guilds as they do not put the emphasis on games, but rather on their website Gaiscioch.com. We are an out of game community that plays games together. This allows any member of Gaiscioch to use their progress across any game the Gaiscioch plays. Members can go away for long periods of time and even reappear in entirely new chapters and resume right where the left off. Our community does not die when a game shuts down; it lives on across many games and many real world activities.

Chapters

The Gaiscioch Chapters are our most structured, moderated, and organized part of the community. A lot of planning, development, and marketing goes into each Gaiscioch Chapter.

Each potential chapter runs through a gauntlet known as the Compatibility Matrix where it must score a 65% or higher score and have a minimum of 300 interested players. Once it has met the goals a Seed will be planned for the title which is a 3 month trial to see if a chapter is viable post-launch.

If player population after 3 months exceeds 300, and the game still scores a 65%, a chapter will be finalized and development of key systems will be put into effect. Once a game has become an official chapter it will forever live among our chapters.

Legacy Chapters

Over the years, chapters tend to grow and then ultimately shrink. As players move on to other games or step away from our chapters we see a decrease in activity. Once there are less than 250 active players we classify the chapter as a Legacy Chapter where all currently developed systems stay in place, but no new systems will be added to the title.

Players may continue scheduling events, claiming objectives, and using the marketplace. We maintain at least 3 Elders in the legacy chapter to keep it moving forward and keep the good name of Gaiscioch clean within the game community.

If a Legacy Chapter surges and maintains over 300 active players, it can become a full chapter again.

Historical Chapters

Long after the prime of a chapter, the community at large moves on to other things. However, they always have a way of calling players back to experience that old classic MMO feeling. We keep our Chapters alive and available for players looking to rekindle those old flames. These are very small communities below 50 active players. They are purely there to revisit those old games we fell in love with in days past.

While the games don't have access to the marketplace any longer, they continue to have access to the event management system and objective tracking. There will be at least 1 Elder involved, to keep access open to new and returning players.

If a Historical Chapter increases in population to the point of having 100 or more active players it can be restored to a Legacy Chapter and gain access to the Marketplace once again.

Adventures

While chapters are our primary focus, and the way players in our community earn Leadership and Fellowship points, Gaiscioch Adventures allow people to play any game they wish with other Gaiscioch members. They are recreational adventures lead by members of the community.

Official Gaiscioch Adventures can be seen sporting the "Gaiscioch" name only when a Elder or Warlord is involved. Gaiscioch Adventures can schedule and claim events for social points.
