Hey Guys,
Yes, we have a lot unhappy people with this patch. Yes, there are a lot of people who can't see any light in this patch. I want to ask that from here on out we keep our gripping and complaining off Vent, off the alliance channel, and off the Tuatha channel. Go to padded room if you want to bash Warhammer. Those of us that continue the play are using every last effort to keep ourselves playing. We don't need to listen to the constant banter about how bad the game is.

IF you are unhappy with the game voice your opinion by canceling your subscription. Do us all a favor and quit. You're obviously not having fun and if your not having fun don't play. Your voice is your $15 bucks a month. If you keep paying Mythic, you are in support of what they are doing. I ask you to voice your opinion by canceling your subscription.

Please leave those of us with thick skin to our own devices and keep the chatter in our channels to a productive and supportive manor. Lets stop thinking of how we can't do things and think of ways we can.

Have fun guys, it's what were all about. Regardless of if your in Warhammer, RIFT, LOTRO, or Guild Wars your still family and you still have a home. I care about every last one of you, we just need to focus on the health of the family right now and the negativity is killing us and making us all at our wits end which is not a good place to be.

/signed I'm in full agreeance with you, Ben. I'd ask everyone to please be what the family has always been about, and that's being supportive of each other and their different gaming goals. If you dislike where Warhammer is going, you are obviously not alone, but for those of us that do still like it, please be respectful and keep the negativity to a minimum.

/signed This is the very reason why I haven't been in vent since 2 days after 1.4...hard to let people know where the enemy is and what is going on if people are complaining about the game at the same time.

I'm going to play devil's advocate to this issue. I think there is more gray to this issue than just pure black and white. Bear with me here while I list the reasons why I find legitimate reasons to the complaints and negative comments. 1> Alot of the comments are just people expressing their confusion with what has changed and how things work now. Mythic did a very poor job explaining how the new mechanics work in oRvR. There are also a myriad of bugs in the patch which Mythic has yet to respond to or admit to. To this day, I'm still not sure what percentage of resources you get when you kill the opposing factions resource carrier. It says right on their patch notes from Mythic that the number is 25% but I've heard 75% more than once in our chat. I'm not saying all the comments stem from the confusion and lack of information, but I am saying a good portion of it is. 2> It's therapeutic. ;0 I'm not a psychologist nor do I play one online, but I think it's good for people to vent and complain a little. Granted if you continually do it then it can get rather irritating but part of accepting the new changes is being able to express your feelings about the changes and move on. I don't think anyone has excessively complained too much but then again, I am not listening half the time. 8) Seriously, for a lot of us, being able to talk about the changes and our disappointments with the changes helps us deal with it and hopefully push us along the path of recovery. Again, I'm not condoning everyone's actions here, I'm just saying that being understanding of people's feelings works both ways. 3> Finally, there are alot of people who are on the fence still or who have cancelled their subscription but will continue to login until the term ends. In my humble opinion, telling these people not to speak about WAR unless it's in glowing terms discourages them from coming online and isolates them from those of us who are still playing. Maybe I'm an eternal optimist, but I kinda want them to keep coming on because maybe when they play long enough, the draw of the game and the great atmosphere we have in the family will change their minds at the last moment. For me, that slim chance that they might not really go after all is worth the small discomfort of hearing a lot of rehashed complaining on vent. I assume that this has something to do with the guild event last night in T3. To me, alot of the comments were about there not being any Destro to fight. Granted, the blame was laid on the new changes but if this was pre 1.4 and we had a guild event where we did nothing but kill npcs, I think there would be a lot of complaining also. ;0 Anyways, I'm not trying to say deal with the complaining. But I just think we can be more understanding of the people who stay while also being supportive of those who are unhappy and are contemplating leaving at the same time. Happy thanksgiving!

well I guess I am a gluttin for punishment. I am holding out a little longer to see if mythic can make a patch change that will make a difference. I will keep groans and comments to myself. This is still the best orvr game so I have hope Mythic will make some changes to our benefit.. Old

I agree Old, when I originally posted in this thread it was about people complaining over those of us who were taking objectives while we were in Orvr. I didn't mean to bash anyone or lead anyone to believe they do not have a right to be upset over 1.4, but moreso just to have people have some understanding that we are in game trying to whoop up on destro and people are complaining over the top of us. Everyone who isn't happy has the right to explain their reasons etc, but could it be done by not talking over those who are trying to play the game? Its hard enough to talk into vent anyways without cutting someone off or having someone talk over you or you key in at the same time as someone else.

Change in the patch is more physiological than actual: Until 1.4 the best tactic was simply move together in big group from BO to BO and claim what you can, then keep moving etc, now its better to actually split forces to guard BO. In practice, where is no Destro effect is the same - you still don't fight (I'm not counting that few guards that used to hang around BOs), you still get similar (or maybe even bigger) amount of RP and influence, but people are getting bored because they have to sit and do nothing instead of... riding and doing nothing. Maybe then we could try new rotation strategy: after splitting WB into parties instead of telling them to sit on their bums and wait for spawn tell them to rotate - i.e. in T3 elf group one goes to Choppas, group 2 to Maiden's, then after lets say a minute Group 1 moves to Maiden's, group 2 to Sari etc... This has 2 advantages: 1. People will complain less since they will be actually feeling that they are doing something. 2. In case of destro attack two groups will be defending. It might be a bit of pain to implement, but if it would make people happier...

I am not sure wat's going on in vent .. but we need to keep our morale up. Frankly, when this really goes south, devs will likely turn to Ben and ask wth do we do to make this work? Or not .. but my cup is half full atm. One thing Volkmar destro does (god I cannot believe I am giving them props for anything lol) Mind you, this is T3: Each group gets on a BO ..at rank 3 - group 1 does a sweep then heads to our keep to be ready for it to ding to 4 - groups adjust cover the semi-abandoned BO and move to new BOs as we slowly close in on the enemy keep.. we actually have 1-2 groups still on BOs until Rank 5 to slow down their keep. Or one is a forward scout group always moving with them and ganking what they find - in T4 this can be adjusted to your monster-play group. A few emerging leaders also enjoy setting up BO ambush squads within their bored BO groups - set out bait on the BOs and have a group waiting to roll the incomming. Ex: let your carrier go - leave one on the BO - rest of the group sweeps the area and parks it watching the BO. Alternate the bait and sweep the area. I agree, the boredom factor is a problem- I joke my magus demons die of boredom when they fall over at a BO every 3 mins.. There's a lot of potential to work with what we have - just need to rethink this. Our WBs are more like 4 dagger groups under the control of the wb leader - if a group can't listen - and thats likely the bigger failure of 1.4 - ingrained human behaviour - people don't or cannot listen since they are too use to following the green m&m in front of them. A start, imo, is to establish group roles (literally) in structured wbs. BO groups Scout group 1st ram, 2nd ram, guns/artillery air unit, who's going up on the walls rat unit etc Leave nothing to 'who does what??" - that's where a lot of wbs fall apart. ~Cheers

I agree with Oldroar, I am still hoping that they make a few tweeks to make the game play a little bit more enjoyable. I will still be here for family nights but until Mythic makes some changes I'm sorry but that is all I can bare.
