I was a bit overwhelmed last night when I logged in and my souls were completely reset. I knew some changes were coming, but yikes. I had just gotten my pyro-lock churning out some reasonable DPS, had pretty much gotten the rotation down - and now, back to the drawing board! Oi vey.

Anyhow, I'm wondering if it's worth spending a lot of time "perfecting" a new build/rotation or if there are just going to be major changes and/or nerfs again with SL. What do y'all think?

I doubt they're going to do changes on the scale of what was done for 1.11 again. I've read they're not completely done with warriors, but Mages, Rogues, and Clerics should be about as they're going to be in Storm Legion with the exception of class balance tweaks and the new souls. There could be some major soul changes... but no more massive resets of points, I'd hope. That was not fun! I wouldn't spend a ton of time "perfecting" a spec, though, as what you play now and what you may want to play at 60 could be very different. I just tried the new stuff out, went to some zone events, ran GP and a couple bosses in RotP to get a feel for the rotation and whether or not it was working. Anything you can stand and shoot and not have to worry too much about mechanics should be a good test, I think. Also, you can always ask the mages who are on about what they're doing too. :)
