anyone have sugestions on what is a good idea?
i dont know much about monitors but i know 144hz is great and 1ms refresh is also great most are several hundred dollars with those stats though
Recently I bought a ViewSonic VX2452. It's a LED-Lit LCD monitor... Full HD 1080P, 2ms, with game mode (no idea what that is).
I love it because it has a HDMI port, which I connect to my graphics card. Of course, it also supports DVI and VGA. It's a wide screen monitor, which is great for movies and games.
I picked it up for about $150. HD monitors are pretty good price with the popularity of 4k monitors.
If it's for gaming , any monitor between $150-250 should be good enough. Just pick your preferred screen size.

My only gripe is I wish it was 27 inches. But i got it on Overstock.com on a post black friday sale I want to say for $210.
These are really good. Highly Recommend.

Well depending on your system and budget, you can hold out for this bad boy (unknown release date):
27 inch and higher resolution, along with gsync. Only bad part is the price.
A more budget friendly monitor is:

This is what I am using currently. Works great and does not cost a lot.
