Defiance...PC or Xbox version?

I have been looking at this game for a few weeks now, reading up on it and such. I am a fan of FPS and got more fun out of Halo 3 than should be humanly possible. That being said, I love my MMO, its debth, story line, lore, a world driven by the people who play it, never knowing who I may meet or play with, etc...

How is the game? Does it do a shooter game justice? Does it do a MMO justice? And with it being out for a short time does anyone have any thoughts on the Xbox version versus the PC version. Is it best suited for a controller or equally works with mouse and keyboard? I don't always game, but when I do...I want to cram the most fun I can into as short a time as possible. GuildWars 2 has lost some of its magic for me and I'm looking for a casual alternative. Please feel free to eloborate on both the good and the bad. I love making an informed decision and value your first impressions.

I have also been debating this same thing. I play quite a few games on my xbox and am leaning that way for defiance. I talked to a few people at my local gamestop and that is how they are playing

Its definitely a console game. Reminded me a lot of COD/MW, just in a persistent world with quests.

The PC version is a console port, it was made for and optimized to play on PS3. Angry Joe has released his review this morning. WARNING! LANGUAGE!

I did get it for xbox - I am having fun with it so far - enjoyable. It won't even come close to replacing GW2 for me but its enjoyable

Thanks for the input. I guess I'll find out the answers to my other questions when I buy it. I can tell I am going to. I love a good shooter and haven't played one for almost two years.

I've played it PC and PS3. Ps it played alright and seemed (in some ways) similar to planetside 2. Played the PS3 version about a week or two ago and it was ok as well. Not sure I want to actually put money out to buy, but it was interesting to play. My problem is PS2 is.. well.. free. Defiance isn't. Therein lies the main problem. Are you willing to pay for it or not. I'm not sure it offers enough difference to actually pay $60, but, also keep in mind they plan on syncing with the TV show. But when I tried prying the information such as which version they are syncing, I was flat out ignored. I know the Xbox version will not share anything with other systems but don't know if the PS3 version will share with the PC and which one the will correspond to the TV show in 'near real time'. At the time I'm writing this, I'm still undecided even after playing 2/3 versions. All I know is I will not play the xbox version since they will most likely require a gold sub to play whereas PS3 and PC will be free to play after buying.

I know for the xbox version they had 4 quests that they call episode missions. These are what sync to the tv show. The 4 that are there right now will disappear after the show airs tonight (as they wont make sense once the show airs) and then new ones will be available. My understanding is that is how it will cycle. It is not necessary to do those for the game, but you get a little back-story and some loot.
