Thanks Ragmar for the great introduction in RP online. I've always wanted to get into RP in mmos but just never found the right group or guild to get started with. It's always been something that interested me even all the way back to my days of playing Ultima Online and that was at least as far back as 2001. (earlier probably)
The few times I tried I found that so many of the RPers were elitists and I couldn't fit in with them. I didn't want to be "socially awkward" in game and out so I gave up on that. I hopped into your event today and was pleased at how you handled the general noobiness of the fresh faces. I also like how you passively told that one guy to drop it essentially, and to let us learn and play the game our way. It was guys like him that kept me from RPing before.
Hope to see some more chances to learn some more and maybe get to take part in some RP stories. It would be really cool if we could get some more GSCH people in on it.
I had no idea that there was an unofficial RP server (tarnished Coast) when I started playing GW2. I started at launch though and the thing that made me join SoR was the amazing story of this guild and one of its members that got Arena Net to name a server after him. I thought to myself, "I have to join that server, and that guild to see what its all about."
This has been the best guild I have been in in all my years of playing online games. Everyone (or at least everyone I come into contact with) is so nice and understanding, especially when it comes to things out side of the game.
Anyway, I'm rambling. Thanks again for the event. Hope to see you guys again soon.
