I'm with Balor on this - if I'm free I will help but the holidays are a "no fly zone" for me as I do much of the cooking and prep for family and friends. Being retired is nice but it comes with a cost during family/friends event time - as I get volunteered a lot (and actually happy to do it) and the same goes when grandkids are on school breaks.
And I'm not a morning person - so before noon PST is also out.... but other than that - if it is a WvWvW event and posted on the site - I'll be there.
My favorite thing to do is to repel borders (sorry - flashback regression to a past life on board a naval frigate). There are quite a few times I go into another border and head to the tower near our respawn and start the upgrades and lay counter siege down. It becomes a little frustrating when I say in map chat that the tower is being attacked and the field commander says "Let it go - we don't care" and after I die - and respawn there are like 10 players just standing in the respawn point - dancing. One evening two other players and myself held onto the tower and the water supply camp for over 2 hours from several attempts by the enemy - and finally lost when the entire zerg showed up. I think we actually upset the entire BG for ruining the natural order of the Karma Train that night. It felt good!
So - yeah - I'm in. It would be like a reverse Dagger group. :) About 10 players could hold a tower - and maybe even a keep - with well placed arrow carts and counter siege if they wish to put down catas and trebs. Most of the Karma zergs give up if there is any valid defense - they just keep running on by.... won't waste their time.
