HoL Saturday night wvw, no more?

 I was just wondering if HoL is no longer doing a Saturday night WvW event? Noticed they didn't do one last weekend and there's none schedueled for tonight. Kind of concerned about the future of the event. 

not sure i remember when the game started vampiresbane was running small scale events , and also Whitedragon was running small scale 10 to 15 ish people skrimsher type events as was HOL . shortly after starting them vamp and whitedragon both left the guild or stopped running them , and HOL shifted to running larger event sizes . I havn`t attended too many events since we stopped doing small scale as i don`t like zergy type events and have been mostly running solo if i do wvw these days , every now and then i`ll do one for a bit to do something with guildes . I hav`nt attended a wvw event for 3 weeks or so , so no clue if they are doing them or not .

I really miss Pookah's Saturday event. It was always great fun!

I too miss Pookha's events. I made my mesmer just for them, he uses them so creatively.

Well guess what! The event will return. Two weeks ago we decided to cancel the HoL Saturday events. We have been working on retraining ourselves and observing other leaders who are having a greater impact on the battle field. One of the main issues we are trying to resolve is the fact that during my three hour event we would join a borderlands, zerg the mess out of it, turn everything our color, then peace out and let whatever happens happen. This is not the mindset we wanted to endorse or practice. If we were to continue the HoL event without having first prepared ourselves as a guild then would have fallen back into our old habits. We have made a LOT of changes over the past couple of weeks. We as a guild feel that the changes we are making will allow us to leave a lasting impact on the battlefield. It’s all about focusing on our server as a whole and not just on our Guild / Alliance. So as to the question of when the event will return, I don’t know. Part of this new WvW structuring is that the control of the battlefield is no longer only on my shoulders, as it is in the zerg method. So when we as a guild are ready to lead again, the event will be posted on the calendar. I promise you guys are going to love the changes we are making. They will allow us to have many more epic moments and will enable us to be a positive and helpful force while on the battlefield. That said. Would one of those changes be adding more CCR, AC/DC and Weird Al to you jukebox? lol In all seriousness I am glad to here that you're trying to steer our WvW towards the next level. I think we would all like to be more of an impact on the battlefield. Change things up and add some different tactics, sounds awesome. Until then I'll be sure to join you guys every now and then in your RC.

I had been wondering myself. As I never talk in RC but always listening, I surely missed the many laughs that came with his events. I will look forward to following you on the battle field once again. Onward to the training grounds. Salute Azakron, Azakrina, Ril Raskel, etc. etc..
