Queensdale Completion Stats

It took me about 11 hours 35 minutes to completely finish Queensdale. Here are are the total items I got while gathering every node I came across (sometimes twice) and farming Beggar's Borrough for about 20 minutes.

• 8 Malachite (from copper ore and elementals)
• 1 pearl (from a bag)
• 7 tigereyes?
• 11 turquiose
• 14 carots
• 12 letuce
• 25 mushroom
• 19 onions
• 12 parsley
• 17 blueberry
• 9 garlic
• 11 red meat
• 3 poultry

Notes

• Beggar's Burough (B2 on the Map) is by far the best farm in the zone if you can get it to yourself and solo it. The spawns are incredibly fast and I was able to get about 100 cloth an hour (in addition to the other things from the bags). Supposedly every zone has mini-dungeons like these that are designed for multiple people. Look out for them!.
• The best leather farm is the centaur area is in the skill challenge South West Corner (C2). The centaurs spawn on a race track quickly and if you are powerfull enough to solo them you can kill them very fast. Unfortunately, this area tends to be camped a lot. I reccomend the fort to the north of that spot for a fairly dense area that is much more secluded (C3).

Good luck! I hoped you found this helpful.  I'lll try to work on Kessex Hills next (note it won't be as complete because it was hard to find any obvious paths in it.  The nodes are more spread out).

p.s. Should this go in the crafting area instead of in the guides?  Also... I was thinking of tweeting this post to @guilwars2 to perhaps generate some publicity for the server (if they retweet it).  What do you think?

wow, this is a great map Jerich. The whole crafting mats topic is pretty complex, and you've done a wonderful job of visualizing it! Between the two names (Gathering Map, Crafting Map) I prefer Crafting Map. It's sooo valuable to have the locations of the vendors on the same map. Do you plan to make these for all of the zones? Let us know how we can help! :)

This took a lot of time to do Lakshmi. It took about 13 hours to map the nodes on the zone and then about eight hours to draw the map. That being said, the next one might go faster. I plan on doing one, though, for Kessex hills though. I won't be able to make any more until launch because the vendor information is not complete. Once those come out, I could add vendor information to the node maps other have made to put them both on the same map.

Things I plan to make before launch

• Finish the Kessex Hill Map
• Make a Gathering guide
• Make a Crafting Overview guide
• Make a start guide for each of the specific professions
• Make a GW 2 Leveling guide
• Make a Crafting Vendor guide for the new areas in list format
• Make a cost analysis of bags versus getting your own guild bank versus using the gem store for equipment upgrades

Any suggestions on what things you would like finished first? After PAX I need to write a couple Torchlight 2 writeups for a fansite I write for. After that I will probably be pretty busy starting the next schoolyear and getting my classroom going well. September - December tends to be kind of crazy for me. A lot of my freetime will be spent playing GW 2 and not making guides. During that time, also, I am guessing there will be more resources like these released.

If I were to make maps like this after launch, here is what would speed it up

• A map with the nodes and fine crafting areas.
• Any good cloth / leather farms / notable locations highlighted.
• Any vendors of not that are not on GW2 wiki

Then I could pound out one of these fairly quickly. Thanks!

Actually GW 2 wiki does not have complete vendor lists yet. That means the only other one I can do is Kessex until launch unless someone somehow wrote down what they are selling.
