monthly

I would like to get my monthly now (with these new rewards) so are there any people who would like to do fractals at around 6-8pm est with me?

I am not much of pve so I think I am like level 1 or so

They just updated fractals so your lvl doesn't matter, you can do any level that any one in your party can access :) Also if i'm on i'm willing to help :D

Sucks, it wasn't until I finished my Monthly that I realized... hm, I should have waited on the JPs until after patch so I could get the new rewards. I did try to do that with my Daily, but I got burned and not only lost out on the pre-patch daily reward, but also lost out the post-patch daily reward, too, because I couldn't get the "combo" and crafting done in the short time that I was able to get into game, before daily reset. I was mad, just a complete lack of information from ArenaNet on how the new achieve system would affect anything in progress before and after patch.

Nobody gets laurels for Jan monthly Sekker, I just finished mine last night after the patch. I suspect they are going to start laurels for monthlies in Feb. So you didn't lose out on anything for those. As far as they extra daily reset, I've heard its cause they had an issue with the new daily system taking properly for people, so they did a reset on everybody's daily.

Oh, ok, that's good to hear, lessens my irritation with the day. I'm still aggravated that I missed my Jug and Mystic coin, though. I was going to, but I decided to just wait a couple of hours and see if I'd get a laurel after patch, so I grabbed some sleep for a few hours, set alarm so I could get up an hour before reset, check for patch and finish up the last couple of Kill Variety I needed before reset. Unfortunately, I found new requirements, not enough time to get them done and a foul temper due to not getting enough sleep, and just waking up.

You know, everyone keeps talking about this Crafting Daily, I didn't see that, and I completed my Daily last night and got my Laurel. Did they update something this morning? January monthly will not award Laurels as far as I am aware, first opportunity to earn the monthly 10 will be February 1.

There was a Daily after the patch was implemented and before the Daily changed at the time it always does. It had Craft 10 items, Kill 25 things in water, and 10 Combo Kill with another player.

Oh, wow, glad I missed all of that silliness. Hopefully I still have my Laurel when I get home :-P

If you were like me - you finished the daily after the reset at 5 server time - so your laurel will still be there. I wish laurels were like "coins" so you could put them in your bank and any character could spend them - it seems to be listed as "currency" on the character that finished the daily. I run 3 mains and they are fighting over who is going to finish the daily (well... they are fighting in my head over it. :) ) edit. Laurels actually show up on all characters... NICE! (They are still fighting though - over who has the nicest armor - they are sisters - whatcha gonna do?)

Daily reset is at 4pm server time right now, not 5pm. Its actually GMT -8 and does not recognize DST changes. It will change back to 5pm server in March. edit: To clarify, the daily reset timer script does not recognize DST. Server time does recognize DST, however, and will adjust accordingly. That's why the daily reset changed from 5pm to 4pm back in the Fall, and will change from 4pm back to 5pm this March.
