Sorry about.....

Sorry fellow gaiscioch members for 'me' trolling. I was at my friends house and we were gaming on Wow but went out and did stuff. While we were gone his brother got on my gw2 account and decided to do some trolling. I am severely sorry that he did that and im adding an authenticator to my account to insure it doenst happen again. If you EVER see 'me' trolling or being rude to a gaiscioch member, make sure to msg 'me' and tell 'me' to cut it off. Also, if 'i' am trolling to an extent go ahead and kick me until real me gets on to play. I am really sorry for this inconvenience and I promise i will never cause drama or stress with my guild members and fellow players again.

Unfortunately, adding an authenticator to your account won't stop someone just hopping onto your PC and playing. Once the location is known, we don't get asked for an authenticator key again (at least so far for me). If you really don't want people getting onto your PC, you need to lock it with a secure password or change your account password.

I'd be horrified if someone accessed my PC without permission, even if it was a friend (or even worse, friend of a friend). :( At least it wasn't a hack, I'd be so paranoid if that ever happened to my account. Like Jayven said, I'd be inclined to either lock down the PC or remove the password from the client login field.

Exactly, Bea! I've had my World of Warcraft account hacked (thankfully they made alts on other servers just to spam since I didn't have anything of interest to sell :P) and from then on, I make sure I use more complicated passwords AND an authenticator to make it harder. On top of that, I scan my PC every week or two just to be certain it is clean. It all comes down to passwords in the end. You can be fine even with no authenticator IF you are careful with where you browse and how clean your computer is but it is easier having that fallback of an extra barrier of security with an authenticator. EDIT: To that extent too, that is why last night I changed browser from Google Chrome to Mozilla Firefox to utilise the Master Password feature, just incase they slip into my browsers.
