Checking your character name

If you have the time, please check your character name in game vs what you have signed up here to ensure it is updated.

Well, all my characters have the first name "Morigana" and there are a couple that aren't listed under my profile because I keep deleting them and redoing them. If they make it past level 30 I put them in - but "Morigana" is always a constant. ;)

I assume tathlyn means your gw2 arenanet id, since several people who requested items on the market place had theirs incorrect making it impossible to send them in game mail when the crafted items were complete :)

Hm, I didn't think about that happening. I guess a good practice to adopt would be to send a in-game test email before claiming the work order, to make sure the arenanet id is good.

Or, people that make marketplace orders could just do what Tathlyn said, so that the people being kind enough to fill those orders don't have extra things to do.

spelling counts including capitalization e.g., I'm "mulch.2586" not "Mulch.2586"

ahhhhh - thanks for the clarification. The "character name" does throw it off- or maybe it is just me. Mine is good to go.

Its a lot easier to changes one's own practices, than it is to expect others to change theirs. I, too, was not aware of the capitalization issue, but I did notice it when perusing the Guild Roster the other day, that when you sort by name, it does separate the Uppercase and lowercase account names into different alphabetical list orders.

If someone is logged into the website to make a marketplace order, it literally takes less than 30 seconds to verify that their username is correct. It really isn't asking a lot. Expecting every crafter to take extra time to verify each username for every order they fill because a few people didn't take the 20 seconds to check just puts an unnecessary burden on the people willing to fill orders. The crafters are giving these items away out of kindness and a desire to help the family. Asking people who place orders to double-check their names, one time, to make sure they're correct isn't asking much in return.
