Retaking the Temples

I'm looking to gather a stalwart group of 15+ people lvls 75+ who would be brave enough to partner with me in retaking the temples of the six gods.  Too long have they've been besieged on our realm.   It is within these temples that you can purchase the various exotic karma sets.

Personally I'd like to see our family free the Citadel of Glorious Victory and Eternal Radiance.  On the forums our server is known for not having them available for any length of time.  It's time to set that right.  If you are willing to take on this challenge (and believe me, Risen Balthazar will test our coordiantion and skill) please sign below and what day works best.  Also feel free to note any temple you would like to see delivered from the clutches of the risen.

Well met, Sairesh! Your call has been heard, and Psypher answers. I am sick of seeing the Risen horde desecrating the floors of the temples. Let us cull this throng of evil and reclaim the temples for the citizens of Tyria! I am a level 80 elementalist but, despite my level, I am still learning how to most effectively wield the tools of my trade. Nonetheless, what I might lack in skill, I more than make up for in dedication. There is but one caveat that comes with my fellowship, and that is timing - my first duty is, of course, to my family. Evenings and weekends aford the most availability, but please, let not my schedule impede the fell of evil! Mark the date and time, and if the fates allow, I shall be counted amongst the valiant as the temples are reclaimed for good. Snow Leopard watch over you... Psypher

Was pleased to see some of these opened up today, and able to get some pieces. I've done a couple of the fights at least part way thru. More often than not when I've tried them, they failed from lack of sufficient man-power. I'd think a task like this would be good for our family to do. Prior to launch, it's what I imagined our pve family events would entail.

I know the Temple of Lyssa is impossible without enough people to acquire and hold 3 spots plus have another crew to take the center. Without organization I have never seen this one taken or enough people there to take it. Some other temples I have seen us take, but they are the ones of a smaller set up with only one point to focus on. Depending on when you do this I can try to be there.

If this needs big numbers, you might want to cross post at the SOR site to ensure the numbers needed.

It seems a group ran through just yesterday and opened them up, but I'm willing to do it again. The key is not necessarily zerging but coordinating. If you get too many in with the Risen Balthazar Priest he get beastly. I'll look to set something up in the next week. Looking at a Thursday night if that looks good.

I don't really need the Karma set, but my 80 Mesmer would enjoy the adventure. I will watch this thread or for an event posting.

If I'm on Dynometric Jones is usually running around Cursed Shore with Hoppy (his frog). I'd love to help. I'm on most afternoons after school (4ish eastern until 8ish eastern) and on some times during the weekends.

hello, I know this is an old post, but just curious if any guild mates still need this event to get some obsidian shards? I know it's really hard to get people to do this, just curious if we have enough people willing to do this... My other option is check the official guildwars 2 forum to see people post which server has one open and maybe transfer there for a week then come back to SoR, but that will be my last resort.

I'm not sure why Balthazar is never open. We're on a supposedly full server, and there was the same problem on IoJ, a full server, too, and that almost 2 months ago. Hopefully Anet will do something about it, because people should not have to transfer servers just to get to the vendors. It must really suck for the lower pop servers.

Balthazar from what I hear is a pain to do, though last week or so when we cleared Malchor's Leap with Balor's event we opened up both of the temples in that zone and it wasn't too hard though we probably had 30ish people because we did a zone clear there. If you created an event to run these I'm sure you'd get people, once more of my chars are 80 I'd love to run them for a lot of my chars, atm I've just got the one though I'd still help if its at a time I'm free :) I'm a terrible altaholic, though the rest of the chars should be hitting 80 in the next couple weeks here and it would be useful lol

Hah, great minds think alike, Zoe. I was just thinking about this, and came to comment that they might want to throw up an event on the calendar for Temples. I know nothing about Orr, I don't even have any waypoints there yet, or I would since I know that lots of folks have been querying about it, and I'd like to snag some karma gear from there. The only problem is that I can get the karma gear I want from the other temples too, so maybe that's why people avoid that temple, since its only real use is the legendary mats?
