I figured while I was waiting on the que for green boardland I would post this message: 

Sanctum of Rall is our home and we will not be leaving this server. We are here for the long term so batten down the hatches and hang on tight we are in for a fun ride for the next few weeks. Also remember when you are wearing the GSCH tag to conduct yourself in the manner appropriate to the guild credos. We do not spawn camp, we do not feed the trolls, we help each other and our community.

Aontaím leat! This server, our server, has a proud heritage, and it is up to us, both as individuals and as family members, to uphold that with pride. While I never met Roger, I know that I meet him in each person who wears the GSCH tag, and we must always keep that in mind. We are the ones who, more than any other group, carry his legacy onward. Remember that when you're out there. Remember Oldroar and where this server, our home, comes from. Make him proud.

Lately I have been hearing a lot of bad blood and resentment about the other guilds on this server. I understand we are prideful about GSCH but I get frustrated when we insult other guilds. As Prissy said, we are going to be here for a long long time and I want everyone to work well together. Our WvW success depends on it. For example: You saying something bad about EPIC leads to them saying something bad about us. Its the ways it works and we don't want that cycle. Or you complaining about new server transfers creates bad blood between new guilds and us. We should be welcoming people when they come here. Make them want to stay by showing them a warm loving server they never knew existed.

Good post Prissy. Also I agree with what Dekri said above me. Fog has always said kill them with kindness, and lead by example. Let's not focus so much on other guilds who have members who spawn camp, we can not control everyone on this server, and we should not even try. Our guild elders and leaders meeting with other guild leaders to discuss the topic is a positive move, and hopefully will result in other guilds asking their members not to spawn camp, but beyond that we should ignore and get on with our own game, and remember it is a game and it is for FUN. Let's continue to play with honor, let's welcome new people, will there be trolls, ignorant rude people and such - of course there will be some, but I bet if Roger were here he would be getting on with his game and not worrying about them. People can choose to roll on any server they like, we can not control that, but we can choose how we feel and how we react to it.

But, but, I like trolls and they need to eat too. They are not such bad people (a little smelly but, ), just a little slow some times. However, seriously... I have just scanned through some posts and remembering some convos over the last weeks and I agree with Prissy, "...we are in for a fun ride for the next few weeks." I would like to add my two coppers worth. While I know we have the policy of knives out not in, we need to remember that in many ways every member of the Sanctum is also a member of our family and deserves the same as any member of Gaiscioch. This has the effect of reversing Dekri's spiral and directing it in a more positive direction. Believe me, if we say nothing negative about those that have come to SoR to fix it, direct it, control it, or other wise take it from us and own it, those people will get bored and more on to other battle grounds. It is not the feeding of the trolls that make them swarm like piranhas, it is the sent of blood, the joy of the fight and the rending of their competitions flesh. Please, do not engage them, it only keeps them interested.

I'm sorry for being blunt here, but there is nothing fun about sitting in a queue for 3 hours (and counting) of my weekend. I play this game for WvW, If I can't WvW then I need to ask myself why I am playing. I'll never leave Sanctum of Rall and I'll never leave Gaiscioch, but I do not see the point in even bothering to log in after being invaded and taken over by Jade Quarry, tuatha, friends of the guild or not. We do not have room on our server and Arenanet will not be increasing pop cap anytime soon.

Not sure if anyone brought up moving but since the server is named after one of the family I can't see us ever moving. On the point of WVW and the queus... And other issues... As previously mentioned, our biggest goal currently is to find resolutions to the culling issues people are having and ensuring that everyone that wants to play WvW can play WvW, without having to wait in queue for a substantial amount of time. We have remained cautiously silent on what work is being done, as we do not want to say we are doing something, and for whatever reason have to cancel those plans. Without saying too much, I can say we are making progress on culling. As some of you may have seen Habib has been working nonstop to ensure you have a great epic experience in WvW, while also giving you details on how some of the ‘behind the scenes’ systems work. We are also looking at ways to better support players that are getting shut down on maps. Again this is something very new, so we are not able to say anything on how this will work. However, the goal is to make players able to leave the spawn areas with ease, as well as provide assistance on capturing objectives when you are being completely shut down on a map. These are just a few things that we are actively pursuing. We are constantly reviewing the state of WvW. If you see a lack of developer presence on the forums, it is simply due to us working on making WvW an even better experience then it is now.

My advice is to keep doing what we do, and have fun, and shut out and ignore any bs in chat from other guilds. I don;t read chat now for this very reason. If I do not see it, and focus on having fun with my friends, then I am not tempted to reply. All I see is the really important stuff, guildchat, party chat, whispers and sometimes squad chat. These people are my friends and guildies, and they are the ones who warrant my attention, not some rude kid.

I personally have no interest in moving off of Rall. Free xfers and recent migrations means we have several new guilds that have poured in. We can welcome them and include them in our events, and I realize many are extremely competitive, and it may be in our interest to be sure the server gets to know the history here. Some guilds may be hardcore competitive and they may just need to accept that GSCH is part of the package and we place heavier emphasis on casual family fun. As for EPIC goes, I heard here and there that EPIC runs off and leaves GSCH members unrezzed, but my personal experience this evening was that with their large presence in in the same WvW BL, I was quite often rezzed by their memebers....and I died a LOT tonight. haha. Nice to have the ferocity back. Can we abandon the thinking that "EPIC does not rez others?" Maybe it was just an isolated experience or maybe they just needed to WvW with us and see we like to rez to respond in kind. I have no idea how it all came about, but I have found them to be very team oriented and helpful.

I don't know where you heard that Sklurb or what time of day it is, but EPIC have been the foundation that has kept WvW alive off-peak. I'm very good friends with many of them due to there being few gsch online when I'm online late nights. I would be extremely disappointed in hearing our guild moan about something as trivial as not getting a revive, especially where culling is such a major issue now that we have full maps.

pfft elth lol.. i moaned about it since i stopped to rez a downed epic guy and then red dudes came and killed me. I was lying right beside him and 3 epics came and rez'd him and left me lying there. But i only complained in our raid call. That doesnt stop me from rez'ing peeps as i figure there will always be a few that dont hold their guilds standards.

Guys this problem isn't a GSCH problem it effects everyone on SoR. Things will get better in time. Were only 2 months into things. People will leave that's natural but let's make sure they don't take away our way of life. Don't fall to the standards of others. Do not insult anyone no matter how crappy they are. There are plenty of guilds I don't like but that doesn't mean I won't work with them if given the chance. You never know when you may need them. SoR is our home. If anyone wants to transfer to another server I highly recommend you googling Roger Oldroar Rall and read about where our server got our name. We are not leaving. Asking that is highly disrespectful. We spent 2 years getting this server and you want to leave after 2 months? Ha. Sorry but no. If you want to go your going on your own. The Gaiscioch is here for the long haul. And the long hall is quite a bit longer than a couple months.

It's rarely a good thing to make a snap decision in seeking instant gratification.

I do not know where this rumour that we may even entertain the idea of leaving is coming from. But I would like it to stop NOW. If you do not like it here, then I wish you well on your travels, and welcome you back anytime. We fought hard for this server, and one of the ways we honour the memory of Oldroar is by building a home here and doing our Gaiscioch thing. I find suggestions that we leave highly insulting. If you value queue times over everything we have built here, then please close the door on your way out :)

I'm completely confused as to where this came from, but I assume Prissy had a reason for starting the thread saying "Sanctum of Rall is our home and we will not be leaving this server". I have not seen anyone in guild chat, or voice chat, say anything about us leaving the server. Is this a case of misunderstanding?

I'm not really sure Prissy had any intention of indicating there was a rumor about us moving.... It was more "This is our home... We are here... We aren't going anywhere .... so hunker down aand get busy living or get busy dying." Mo rumors about us pulling up stakes - the point being... This is our Home! We aren't like some guilds that will transfer in and out - move around - so who cares what others think of us... We need to care since we will never leave. ... and to me it doesn't matter if you have your guild tag on or not (and why the heck would you turn it off?) you're name will be know as honorable or dishonorable or "I have no clue who they are" , which is better than dishonorable. Maintain the pride and honor in yourself and family pride and honor will follow. I never have to think "I am Gaiscioch so I shouldn't do that... I think "I am Morigana - I would never do that it just isn't right!" Then I shout "I am Morigana of the clan Gaiscioch - and I am with honor in life and in death!" It just ain't that hard. And as others have said - there is no need to cast stones at anyone ... it only gives your target a projectile to throw back at you. ;)

I was not replying to Prissy...she would never leave!!! (Especially as the server is named after Oldroar). I have heard a few ppl complaining about queues and mentioning transfers, so I was making a general statement to remind people that no matter what, we are sticking here. I read Prissy's post to mean that we are not server hoppers, and this is our home, so we should remember to be polite and respectful members of the SOR community as we are here for the long haul. (And whgat Morgiana said, I think she summarised it perfectly!)

I'm relativelly new to Gaiscioch but not mmo's and not PvP. One thing for sure is there will always be spawn campers, corpse campers,etc. I personally don't like them in the least. For example there where people who were spawn camping a lot last week when we owned the server and it was pretty boring not having anyone to fight but these people show up inevitablly. They must have an inferiority complex or some other problem. There gonna be here and in any other PvP game just like bots, gold farmers etc. Nothing we can do about it except make sure we aren't involved. On the subject of EPIC, I was seperated from our group last night {Friday} in WvW and wound up with a group of about ten people, all of them EPIC. Like Sklurb, I also died quite a few times and had no problem getting rezzed by them. We need to concentrate on fighting the two other servers and not our own. One thing you can count on in life is there's always gonne be an idiot or ten around and theres no sense wasting time on them, which is probablly there goal to begin with. Regards, Gjindaan

I'm a little confused about what may have happened, for I've been a little busy with RL issues and had little time to be online in the last 3 days. But one thing is crystal clear for me: Sanctum of Rall is our home, and we are proud of it just as we are proud of being Gaiscioch. Here we are and here we will stay until the end of time. It's been said enough that the game is still pretty young, and issues like the long queues end eventual unbalances are pretty normal. We waited a long time for a game like Guild Wars 2, and some of us fought a lot for this server. It's a matter of respect and honor to be patient about eventual problems. If the queues are taking too long, don't worry: take some time to train at sPvP, experience some of the wonderful PVE, do some jumping puzzles, try some new color combinations on your gear, explore the world, listen to some music, read the forums... whatever. In time these problems will go away, and we will still be here, and we will be proud of it. These are my two cents.

This post started when there was talk in team chat from other guilds about hopping servers and I got to thinking that this is my home and I am not leaving no matter what. I also notice the frustration in people voices due to the spawn camping, and no one to fight, and of course the ques. I got to thinking about it a liitle bit more after my post and decided that the Sanctum of Rall is actually the Undiscover Country. The server has has a lot of press and infomation put out about it. A lot of peole like the way we play and want to be part of it in their own guilds. We have talked the talk. This Undiscovered Country is in the throws of growing pains for an idea in our minds to something tangible. Could we plan for all the probelms - no way! Do we have all the answers? Nope. Is it going to be easy? No. We need to welcome the new guilds onto the server (our home). Yes when they left their old servers and came to SoR they changed the server. That is going to happen and if they leave it will change again. Have you every thought when you meet someone for the first time that you really disliked this person and then come to find out in time he is your best friend? We now have lots of people wanting to be friends lets give them a chance. This Undiscovered Country will grow bigger than we can imagine because of the love, pride, and care we all feel towards it. From us it is going to require patience lots of patience, tolerance of those who do not understand the Gaiscioch way. It will require us to think up new things to do and new ways to accomplish what we want. It will challenge us in everything we do. Are you up for the challenge? The long haul? Never be quiet Prissy - voices of the passionate need to (Old)roar above all others. I was in WvWvW with you and in Raidcall when the actions that lead to your post were going on... so I understood you perfectly. Safe Journ!

And this attitude should be no matter where you are in the game. We should be a positive force that defeats the bad guys with kindness and doesn't publicly complain about people. If you have nothing good to say, don't say it at all. I do still hear people saying they hate so-and-so in raidcall chat. I rather not hear that even if the guy is a complete idiot, troll or both. Mama Bear does not like whining, complaining and negative cubs. =D Best thing to do when feeling frustrated by people to the point it is not making the game fun is to politely excuse yourself and then log off for a bit to go do something else. By the way, I frustrate myself better than anyone else can. ;)

I dunno, as of last night I have discovered 75% of Sanctum of Rall *flex* A lot of us have been playing MMO's long enough to know the first few months of any new game can be dominated socially by the instant gratification/drama sort of player. I'm saying that as a general statement as I don't read public forums anymore for that very reason. These players and guild types will probably be gone by the time the Holidays are over and a lot of the bugs and queues should be tamed by then too. In the meantime, play the game and have fun. Your next ally or best friend might be waiting on the other side of that dragon, looking for a little help and a laugh. In other words, the people who spawn camp and complain now will either be gone or asking for our assistance in six months. Then we can help and show them a more community focused way to play. I'm pretty sure that's what Prissy means when she says "This is our Home" and I support her 100%.

Yes there was alot going on in teamchat the other night. Alot we as gaiscioch could take exception too. When the comment went out to stop spawn camping the guys doing it answered everyone does it. Someone from another guild said they do not and a few from our family stated we do not. I made the comment that if they took the time to research the nameing of our home they would understand why we did not want it tarnished in anyway.

Every guild I have ever been in , has had the same values , long ago in oldschool games a guilds rep was the most inportant thing , i`ve seen people ninja loot a item and the guild they were in when they discovered it was true guild kicked the person and pretty much the whole server blackballed them. They could not join a guild or get invited to a group , people that joined groups they were in left the group after joining when they saw who was in it and that was server wide . people had to buy name changes or reroll or reroll on a new server . The way i see it is everything you do , in game or on forum boards etc while wearing a guild tag is a reflection of the guild as a whole . people are not going to remember what your name was but they will remember the guild tag , It is hard at times but when you see someone flaming our guild or you etc in region chat, say or on a forum , you should ignore it and direct it to a officer to deal with , responding back with flames just makes the issue worse , and most of the time makes you look bad in the long run . It is hard to do but every guild i`ve been in since 1999 has had the same rules which from what i see GSCH does as well .. Having been a officer 8 of the last 13 years i can say responding to those issues can be trying as well , but best to deal with in a calm manner then responding in spur of the moment , always before acting think how will this look, and how will it be recieved before flaming back in response .
