Coming of /age

I dinged 80 during WvW last night (thanks for the lead Spartan), and I thought I'd share my timeline. I am a notoriously slow leveler, so I was really suprised at how fast this went:

Level 60 - 100 hours played

Level 70 - 125 hours played

Level 80 - 153 hours played

If you are curious about how much time you have been playing in game, type "/age" and it will show your time played on your current character, the total across all characters (not sure if this includes discarded alts), and the number of calendar days you have been playing.

I tend to level slowly as well in most games, I do this on purpose because I like to savor the journey, so my first character reached 80 earlier this week. However, the /age for me is quite meaningless because I will often spend a lot of time standing around in a safe spot while I am watching a Youtube video of a jumping puzzle, or a crafting guide or some such, or reading a forum. Also, I have 8 characters, one of each profession, all at various levels. I always make one of every class/profession in every game I play because I like to know what my opponent can do in pvp situations and recognize what skills they are using against me. I am not very good at pvp but I try :)

I too have 8 chars slots.... last time I checked my /age I was just passing up 329 hours account wide.

HA! I afk a lot without warning. Sometimes coming back to a dead character because the interruption did not allow for safe move. If playing when hubby comes home, I'll be afk a lot then as we talk about things and my headset is even off. I have not been on much this past week, but I'm not sure what my hours of play are. A LOT! Have to be a lot, I have Briseadh at level 80 for some time now, a thief named Cliste close to 50, and two other toons both in their teens closing fast on 20. I also have all 8 crafts started though they range from T1 to a smidge form T6. I have 92% of the world explored on Briseadh and around 25% on the thief (more due to leveling and gathering crafting mats then need to explore).

I'm a horribly slow leveler as well and have yet to reach end content in any MMO because I am also a severe altaholic. I've vowed to get to level 80 in this game though... some day! My highest is almost 60 now. Will have to do /age to see what it says. :)
