I stumbled across that today as well...too many to report...
I've reported bots in those spots a couple of times. It's fairly ridiculous. They are like cockroaches.
I have played GW1 since about 2006. There were a lot of bots in GW1 but because when you left the towns you were kind of in your own instance you never saw them. It is so tempting to just drag mobs over to them but then other people seeing you do this it might not reflect good on our guild. Still, I wish they would do something about them. In PvE its just annoying but in WvW it is bad. I always report any of them that I can.
Ah, the Bear Bot Squad. I saw them making the rounds today also, as did plenty of other people. I'm certain from the comments in map chat that they were reported at least half a dozen times, not counting the many who surely reported them without announcing it. At this point, that's about all we can do. Every MMO goes through a phase at the start where botting is just rampant and nothing seems to be done because the company's focus is in so many other areas. I have no doubt this will be addressed in due time. For now, just keep doing your due diligence, make sure the offending parties are brought to ANet's attention, and don't let them ruin your fun.
I crossed the path of those in Hirathi Highlands. Thought I was about to get mauled. lol
I really hope that ArenaNet is spending all the time they aren't using banning those idiots writing memory integrity checking into the game client. Word on the street is that there currently isn't any, and, well, the results speak for themselves. Botting has always been an arms race between the developers trying to protect against botting, and the botters finding new ways around protection mechanisms. I'm no military commander, but I'm pretty sure you don't win an arms race by sitting on your hands. On the plus side, it looks like their new account security mechanisms are working well. If accounts were as simple to compromise as they were a few weeks ago, the gold sellers wouldn't have to resort to such blatant botting to get their stock. The group in the video is one gathering house, probably one of the bigger ones.
the sad thing is the bots are slow but surely zerging their way to the end game. last i saw they were in 45-55 zones as a zerg. if they make it to end game... well economy is gonna take a giant hit.
I think anet's goal is to catch customers as well as bots. I think sometime in the next couple weeks were going to see a ban hammer wielded of norn proportions.
I hope you are right Corpus - it isn't just the economy they will ruin, but the core of the very game ... enjoyment. I found two squads of them outside of Divinity's reach in the 6-10 level areas and they completely trash the mobs that other players need and their constant roaming the area and bunching up on camps of mobs is rather annoying and a super buzz kill. I know that people say to ignore them, and report them, and then go about what you have to do.... but what I like to do is repel centaur invaders and save the Seraph outposts - but 3-6 "bears" and their tamed humans running through slaughtering everything - kind of ruins what I like to do... "Just go to another area".... but they are there also :( I would rather have them reset the server at random times to boot them off, take away auto attacks, take "guard" away from pets (and yes, I have a ranger) than to put up with them.
Oh I know they make me ashamed to be a ranger, and whenever they are in the area I am afraid to have my bear out lest I be confused with these monsters XD
The ones I've seen appear to be multi-boxers more so than bots, which far as I've ever encountered (such as WoW) are completely legal. Not claiming their aren't bots in GW2 ofcourse, just mean that I've seen more instances of multi-boxing than botting.
I've seen the multi-boxers - there are usually only 2 or 3 of them running around - but the bots - there are usually 5 - 20 of them stacked up and you can find one or two of them naked because they have been killed repeatedly or see them stuck on a rock by themselves as the rest of the "crowd" is a little ways away auto firing.
... but I saw none today - in over 8 hours of play and I also only received one gold selling spam... maybe things are looking up :)

They were pretty much ruining my day in kessex hills not too long ago. All of those I've seen walk in odd patterns and warp a little. They're pretty easy to spot, even if alone. I say report every time, every day.
I have to say ive never seen so many botters in a MMO that ive played. Ran into a few in WoW but ive seen a lot of Multi boxing in WoW which i guess was fine. Here in GW2 they seem to be everywhere and ive done my share of reporting them. Hope they can fix this.
