Argh. Anyone else torn on toons?

I am so looking forward to embracing my altaholic tendacies this weekend.  However I am torn on what to make my alts.  I keep second guessing myself.  Anyone else having this problem?

Is there a limit on the toons you can have without paying for additional slots?

I have decided so far on the following:

Norn Guardian (Main)

(Human or Asura) Necromancer

Asura Engineer

Sylvari Ranger

I believe you get 5 character slots. Others are available for purchase. And yes I'm working on my toon plan right now. Very difficult choices.

Each account starts with Five character slots so you can get your fix on Alts for sure! So, is is Friday yet? =)

I am very torn I know Humans, Sylvari and Asura; likely no Norn or Charr. I know Thief, and likely Engineer and Warrior, but I might even take a risk and make a caster type..

I was pretty unsure until the last BWE. I found that the Asura Elementalist hit my niche playstyle in this game perfectly. I usually don't play mage-esqe characters in games but for some reason I love the versatility of this class. I'm sure I'll roll a Charr Ranger purely for the reason that I recall getting wrecked by them in GW1; nostalgia. /sigh

Not torn at all I have a set plan on what I will be making, will depend on how you want to play. Must watch more videos lol but I have Plan in Place muhahaha Asura Necro (main) Human Elementalist (healer) These are my top 2, oh yeah will be crafting on all toons so there is much gathering to be had.

Let us see... I want to play a... Norn ranger - Hunter(ess) forest guild and defender of the people, protector of the wild place and guardian of the spirits. Norn Guardian - Defender of the innocent and protector of the Mists (or where ever that story line leads.) Human Ranger - Explorer extraordinaire, master of the wilds and refugee from the urban wastelands. Human Guardian - see established theme above Human Elementalist - Morally challenged hunter of fools (WvWvW killer) Char Warrior - Stylized Samurai (modeled after the main character of "The Guardsman" blended with a little of C. J. Cherryh's Hani.) Asuran Engineer - Build extraordinaire. I believe that is morethan 5. To be honest I am finding I never get any progression done if I play alts.

I think I have it narrowed down to, in no specific order, Engineer, Guardian, Thief, or Elementalist. Mesmer is a dark horse too. Oh heck, Ranger, Necro and Warrior are also going to be alts... So really, I have no idea. I will probably figure out which one deserves most of my time over the next 3 months :p I think I will need a couple more character slots.

I'm still modifying my chart, prob'ly will settle on it around 8:59 Pacific time. The stakes are higher than usual, because of the one-name-per-whole-durn-universe feature. So I wanna get a flag planted for each future alt that I might want, to avoid having to take silly spellings. So my chart has first-choice names with 2nd and 3rd alternate names.

Uhhh... there is no "Healer" in GW2... least int eh Pajamma-man sense of GW... they basically did away with secondary professions and gave everyone some level of "healing", way I understand it.

Oh..hell. 9 pst! I was thinking I'd have to stay up till midnight but I am west coast. Derp!

You might have to be up until midnight, depends on when Sanctum of Rall comes online. =D They are not all coming up at the same time per my understanding, but I've been wrong before! I already posted elsewhere what I am putting in my five slots. ::chuckles:: Yes, all five slots have race class and at least the first name figured out. Last names if they need them will be figured out at the time of needing.

you should think about Sylvari Guardian since sylvari get a racial ground targeted AoE heal ;) Help keep you and your allies up :D (including NPC helpers)

Well, maybe Sylvari Elementalist spec for heals if you want to maximize it, more than guardian. I think the take-home point is you won't be a dedicated healer anymore than the guardian will be a dedicated tank.

I think, and this is broad brushstrokes here, that I'll be running with the following: Norn Elementalist Charr Guardian Asura Engineer Human Mesmer and perhaps even Sylvari Necromancer I think... I like the idea of the Norn, Charr and Human... the Asura one seems appropriate, while the Sylvari makes me giggle.

I think necro fits with Sylvari, with the nightmare vs dream tension. can always delete and reroll -- this is the mantra that keeps me sane while trying to decide (well, mostly sane)

Thank you all for your comments. After much deliberation I have decided on the following.. for now of course until I change my mind.. Norn Male Guardian Asura Female Necromancer Sylvari Confused Ranger Charr Undecided Engineer Human Undecided Warrior or Elementalist Now I just have to decide on names.. Crap I only have 6 hours..

simple. I will make at least one of everything :) Which one first.. I don't know!

Yeh not sure myself may change in next few hours but so far want a thief and a guardian, race wise torn between all.

I will play something...best I've been able to narrow it so far!
