How are you surviving til Friday night?

Basically, what are your plans to help make this week bareable?

Personally, I've got tons to do. Couple art projects on the computer, concert vids that need editting/uploading, few CDs need to be ripped, but I don't see any of that being done. Pretty much, this is how I have my week laid out

Monday - Friday | 7-3:30 | work
Some time between Monday and Wednesday | Go in for more color work on my tattoo
Wednesday | PAYDAY!!!! | going to buy a case of redbull and snack foods such as insta chow mein thingies and poptarts
Thursday | spending as much time as possible with special lady friend since she will be neglected this weekend
Friday | Patch GW2 client every hour, prepare snacks, open first redbull, begin trying to log in at 9pm
Filler for the rest of the week | Stalk Gaiscioch Forums, play with my RC helichopter, playing RuneScape and black ops

I plan on reading threads on the forums that talk about how close GW2 is to release.

Darksiders 2. That's most of my plan, though the other part of the plan is reading as much info as I can from the official GW2 wiki when I'm not playing Darksiders 2. :)

Didn`t pre purchase this time decided to wait till release have another 8 days to go . hope they don`t lock servers when full while rare I am pretty sure I`ve seen it before where a game didn`t allow any more characters created on a full server until the others filled up and they raised the population level and allowed more to be made .

Ordered supplies from Amazon. A headset/microphone. (I've never used one for gaming before.) 5 pounds of coffee beans to assist me during the long playing sessions. Both will be delivered before Friday.

I still have to plan a build for my first character. After I decide on my profession. So many decisions left, so little time, so much freaking out. Oh and Friday I've scheduled an all important pre-launch nap.

Hrm ... what am I doing to pass the time? 1. Scouring our forums and others to read up on Elementalist while listening to music. 2. Cranking up GW2 for any updates. 3. Reading the news and checking Facebook for GW2 to have a final stress test. 4. See 2. 5. Reading a book on my Kindle. 6. See 2. 7. Fishing in Rift. 8. See 2. 9. Doing Laundry and House chores. 10. See 2.

I am so with Suryl...I keep bouncing between 3 professions and 3 different races. Think I'm going to roll all possible character combos and play around with them at launch to see which one 'feels' right. I tried to do this during beta but ended up having so much fun with everything that I forgot to decide. But it will be fun :). In the meantime, I keep cleaning and getting as much done as I can around the house. I have a toddler running around so that keeps me pretty busy too ;)

Luckily this week is pretty busy with work, but after work is over with for each day, I'm doing the following: Monday: Getting car detail appt set up. Hopefully getting magnets in mail for my large WvW map at home (I'll post a picture once it's all finished... I'm making this HUGE 40''x28'' WvW map with metal back and magnet markers to keep track of squads/players for when I lead in WvW.) Tuesday: Getting car serviced. Wednesday: Doing Sanctum of Rall Guild Meet N' Greet Thursday: Finish any remaining work on my homemade WvW map. Friday: Any final touches on computer such as defragging or any small fixes. Plus run the patcher a few times as well. Everything else is done already. This last weekend, I hung out with RL friends, watched Batman, and cooked a full on Thanksgiving meal (but with a roast chicken instead of turkey) and put it all in the freezer. I should have at least 4 different types of homemade frozen meals ready to go for when I take 2 weeks off from work to play GW2. The biggie is getting that WvW map finished. I'll probably go buy some red/blue/green metal paint today after work. It's complete except for the markers I'm making and I'll just need to paint them.

Darksiders II, Sleeping Dogs, and Transformers Fall of Cybertron.

I'm hording cheetos

Got a case of 5 hour energy for saturday. Gonna get a couple cases of power-aid for sustenance. No need to get fat and lazy. As for the waiting game, steam and board games with some TV and anime watching mixed in after work.

I will be having some anime watching too, via netflix, right before bed. Specifically, Blood+

playing a variety of video games and getting some voice acting done.

oh, Kevorkian - ANet on twitter said a few days ago that for the first bit (nothing specific, but I'd guess the first week at least) they will allow free world transfers. After the populations have cooled down a bit, they will change it to a paid service.

Looking forward to seeing a picture of the map Vampiresbane.

Okay, my vote goes to Vampiresbane for the most out of control GW2-aholic because of the real life map!

Finishing off ME3 and Sleeping Dogs till I go on my weekend vacation this Friday. Be back on Sunday late night. The wait is killing me, I dont know what any game I was more excited to play in a long time.

IF you are taking 2 weeks of vacation JUST for the launch of this game you need help... :P Cause I'm only taking 3 days... :)

Well… Mon-Wed Will be insane. 12+ hour work days preparing 4 Viper Competition Coupe’s for a race event at Monticello NY this weekend. Thursday Only an 8 hour work day. Then cut the grass, clean the house, and do laundry. Friday I start my 4 day vacation with the family….. “Get up and get on the floor. Everybody do the dinosaur!”

Monday - visited a friend and helped her groom a horse. Got home and watched True Blood. Tuesday - Was going to watch Falling Skies but now have a stress test to play!! YAY!! Wednesday - Watch Falling Skies Thursday - read some more about WvW, crafting and anything else GW2 Friday - going to sleep at 5 p.m. to wake up for midnight. Myk p.s. I'm usually in bed by 8 p.m. and asleep by 9 which is helpful to fill up some of the waiting time!

LOL Work. Also have a wedding shoot on Saturday so I will not really be on till later... maybe some sunday and monday but then will be off for a few days while I prepare pictures and so on. Hoping to get a holder character on the server Friday night but that depends on what time the server is available.

I work and school fulltime. So, I got my hands full. Also, ripping my 500 something CDs into lossless and uploading them to Amazon Cloud.

I have gone back to LotRO for 1 short week until release date.

-Read most of this web site -Read up on crafting -Keep the GW2 client updated -Finally decide what profession I want to start with -Clean my Jeep of leaves and spiders, dust and mud, which will take an afternoon -Get my Jeep filthy within 3 days, because it is fun -Somewhere in there, fit in a full time and part time job

Well it was going to be Darksiders 2 and another beta I just got in to, but apparently my job has other plans for my time.

Sorry to be off context but, I joined in Rift and haven't played mmo's in awhile while waiting for GW2. I would really like to join the guild on Sanctum of Rall but even though I pre-ordered I will not be playing until the launch date when I return from vacation. Does anyone know how I can get an invite in game on the 28th or 29th? I hope there's still room as I plan on being active for GW2 and really liked the guild in Rift. Thanks

Probably break 800 hours on Skyrim. Master Difficulty + Deadly Dragons + "You are not the Dragonborn" Should be interesting.

I always have plenty to do. =) So reading is in order. Being up at 3am my time Friday night is right out. Already told my hubby about the comment elsewhere of knowing I couldn't pull off the insomniac excuse. He agreed I could not. HA HA! I will be on Saturday though for sure. Due to the fact we do get up early, it might not be too many hours after the official time.

Well, I just started grad school this week so most of my time is going to trying to figure out this crazy new thing I've gotten myself into. I think I have a handle on it...maybe...hopefully...Other than that? I'm jumping back and forth between the new Counter Strike and Darksiders 2.

I am on a 11 day work stretch that started on 08/20 and goes through 08/31. I will try to get away for a bit but I have to work double the entire time :(

Guild wars release time is around 5pm on Saturday afternoon for me so I will be sleeping all morning to get over my hangover then come around 2pm I will start trying to log in. Prior to that though I have been trying to push out some more hall of monument points which I was hoping to be doing all week to reach 10 points but I managed to get them all last night so I will probably look to buy a mini pet in GW (I haven't got that point yet) and then look to spend some time with my wife so that come Saturday she doesn't get upset that I am not spending time with her (probably will anyway).

Working 12-16 hour days since we are short-handed. Overtime + head buried in work solved my dilemma.

Heehee. Anet/GW2 has given me something to do!! Check my email for word from them that they fixed the whole validation login thing so I will be able to login when they start the game. They did respond to my support ticket in a very timely manner since it was in the mess of a stress test yesterday and so that has made me a very happy camper. *Does her "send me my validation email" dance and giggles*

I'm actually going to miss Friday night/Saturday because of a camping trip and white water rafting with my team this weekend - we planned it months ago. Be home Sunday afternoon. Once I get home I'll pretty much glued to the game most days after that!! So Twilah will be a little late to the party, but better late than never :)

Oh, that sounds fun, Twilah!! Well, except for that whole "camping" thing. Roughing it, to me, is a hotel that doesn't have room service so I have to get my own coffee! Heehee =)

i am cleaning up my study. changing to a new desk. installing a 2nd monitor to my system. switching to my corsair keyboard instead of my G15 logitech. going to grad school class thurs. [ugh] ran my last CQ in Rift Monday night. ran my last raid in Rift yesterday night. donated, sold, gave away all my stuff in Rift. got the "Dead Simon" pet. i'll probably take one last run around the Rift zones to say goodbye before Roxanol the cleric goes into cryogenic storage (good things she's an Ascended.)

Monday - put water cooling on the new computer i just built. Tuesday - Test said computer with the family on stress test(made my day!) Wednesday - Getting the house ready for the 6 people joining me and my kid for Friday. Thursday - shaving my head because im pulling my hair out due to lack of patience. (is it friday yet?) Friday - starting computer as soon as im off of work and checking updates every hour. Will start logging in around 10pm to see if they start earlier than they have said. P.S. I would like to publicly thank my wonderful girlfriend for putting up with me this week and buying lots of beer and snacks for this weekend!

It is only Wednesday, really? No Gordon Ramsay screaming at people shows on tv either. Really tough going now. Off to search youtube for GW2 dancing videos I guess.

Been enjoying The Secret World...it's a very worthy diversion from the usual MMO's.

Less than 24 hours now.... When it gets closer, the time seems to pass more slowly....

i'm barely surviving. i'm collecting shiny's in rift and giving away stuff that may help my friends... and boring poor Jexia w/ my "is it time yet?" tells :)

Working...playing minecraft. Gotta work on saturday morning so I probably wont be on aside from maybe creating a character. Servers officially don't come up until 2am CDT so unless they do bring them up 3 hours early, I wont be getting on until saturday evening.

Zeniers, I hate you. ;-P I was all ready to sleep and then SongPop? What's that? Hours later... I.Just.Can't.Stop.Playing.It. I better get this out of my season or I may end being all Guild Wars What? That game is addictive! -.-
