Neat things in the Black Lion Trading Company.

I doubt I'll spend much actual money on this game aside from expansions, but I did notice a couple of things I might have to buy.

Inventory space is always a good thing for people considering crafting. Since I'm going to try and contribute to the guild through crafting, I'll probably end up purchasing extra bag slots.

The other thing I will get is the Black Lion Trading Company Salvage Kits. They give you a 100 percent chance to remove upgrades from gear as well as a ten percent chance to pull rare materials off of items. This just seems like a no brainer to me since I've got tons of gear in Beta so far that had runes on them that I wanted.

Did anyone else see anything in the Black Lion Trading Company that will convince you to spend real money? I like some of the cosmetic items like the dye packs, but doubt if I'll spend my hard earned cash on that stough.

I dont remember seeing this in the beta store but I will probably buy extra bank tabs. Then later I may buy character slots. All the other stuff I will just convert in-game gold to gems and purchase it that way. It may take awhile but atleast I am not spending IRL cash for it. Oh yeah, I also plan to buy the expansions as they come out too.

I forgot about bank slots. I'll probably have to get that too.

I'm planning on buying more character slots, so I can have one character of each profession. Even if I don't play with them much, they could be used as storage (muling), and it's in fact cheaper than bank tabs if you can have your other characters crafting bags for those characters. I may buy a few other things there on occasion. We'll see. ;)

I'm going to buy a pack or 2 of mini pets, bag slots, circus hat, some salvage kits, and bank slots. I figure I opted not to buy the $150 CE, I'll spend that extra cash supporting the game through the Black Lion.

I am not a fan of buying extras...but this game also does not have a monthly fee associated with it. Normally I am paying $15 ish per month for a game like Warhammer, Rift, etc. So I could potentially spend some money on gems and still be ahead of the game over a traditional monthly subscription model. May have to give this another look.....

Yeah, that's what I was thinking too. 15 dollars a month to spend and still break even. I like the idea of those salvage kits, because you get runes and rare crafting ingredient drops. That sounds good to me, because as fast as I usually level, buying new gear is like buying shoes for a three year old. You just grow out of them too fast. Consumables....meh. Not my cup of tea. Cosmetics........meh. Not my thing either. Things like inventory space, mystic chest keys if I pile up some mystic chests in my inventory, or those salvage kits will come in handy for crafters. Extra character slots always sell well for people that go alt crazy.

Bank space (yeah mules are cheaper but I like the convenience of the bank), Cosmetic armor skins, Perfect salvage kits. That's where my gems will go.

Bag Space, Bank space, Character Slots, transmutation stones. It is quite likely I'll be buying all of the above, and maybe even more as the game goes on.

I got bank space during the beta and very much felt it was a good choice for me. Bag slots when you know a character will be a main or main-alt. If you delete the character, that investment would be wasted. I want an extra character slot or two, not sure if I'll buy right away (like to save a name). Salvage kits, transmute stones I think will be an on-going thing.

Oh gosh. Last game I played that had an in game store (City of Heroes)I spent $200 on like... costume parts hehe. They make it too easy and you don't see the money flowing from in the game. That makes me nervous. hehe

They just added a couple of cool new armor skins to the BLTC.

How many character slots do you get with the game?

Isha, it hasn't been confirmed yet, but everyone is expecting it to be 5 character slots, just like in all the betas and stress tests so far.
