The Guardian in Gw2 ??

Hi, I was just wondering if some one could tell me the good abiltys and shere there experiance of playing a Guardian In Gw2 I have heard so many people saying how cool Guardian but they never really say what there skills are or why they are realy epic I was just wondering if you guys could help me by telling me what is so good and bad about this class. I.e strenghts and weeknesses.

They are not epic after getting nerf-batted. Play Warrior.... No, just kidding. Though a lot of the builds I have seen used a lot of retaliation skills and people are now probably looking for another way to play. If you like defense, control, support, Guardian is a class to look into. I believe they offer solid offence as well; just not top of dps chart BOOM offence. Myself, I change my mind every day on how I am going to play and what skills are the best. I gotta use the torch somehow though. Setting things on fire is fun. Sceptor is the only ranged weapon, and well, it is only good for pulling and cc really. Players and mobs can avoid the slow sceptor shots easily. So expect to melee! I used the guardian to heal in the BWE Also, its makes no difference if the scepter balls are slow or not. You learn to anticipate where the enemy will be (pve/pvp) and often only miss if they get out of range or hide behind something hehehe I mostly used sceptre / (torch or focus) and mace / shield. I plan on using those for release as well as my main two sets. I don't play other peoples builds, I play what works for me. I've never been big (in any game) forcing myself into playing someone elses style :D Oh yeah, if you want to play a healing Guardian, I might also recommend trying a Sylvari. You won't be disappointed I think. They have a ground targeted racial AoE healing ability, or at least they did in the last BWE :)
