I thought of this because I myself am currently splitting my short span of free time between two classes who are specking in leatherworking and jeweler (ranger lvl 40) as well as weaponsmith and armorer (warrior). With these two classes at low levels I need most of the ingredients that I collect. However I have not even thought about doing cooking as another craft because leveling the ones I have is enough.
My feeling is that instead of throwing the excess stuff I have at the trading post or the merchants I should give them to my guild. I jumped into the marketplace and saw that most of the items requested were high level and high value. This is where I think a fix would be needed.
We have a donation tab but it only applies to Rift. If we institute some way that members who have supplies they don't need can give them to people who are in need of them. I know this is what the market place is for but the problem I have and wonder if others are having is I place my order and spend my FVC but can't craft what is needed due to low level or can't afford to contribute the rarer items I need to craft with.
I know there are some very kind people who have put up orders for more simple gathers but a few can't support the involvement of the entire low level comunity.
TL;DR
Can we find a way for low level people to earn FVC and participate without giving up what they need to use in crafting. Any input is welcome, and I hope to be able to do more for the family.
