Ahh tax season. Well my PC is aged by IT standards I have a bloomfield I7 but today I have got a new Nvidia 760 graphics card. One day if I get this promotion i'll get the haswell I7 and move out of the dark ages. What PC do you have? did you build it yourself? are you an AMD or Intel geek? or are you one of those people who loaded guild wars 2 on a surface tablet just to see if you could get it to work?

Built it myself about 14 months ago. Trying to decide if I want to get a 2nd 660ti for SLI, or just replace my current card with a "better" card. But this card has been a BEAST. Everything I play currently is on full high/ultra settings and it has zero issues.
I kind of chuckled Cap'n, I have nearly the same build and I built it at pretty much the same time as you. I wonder if we hit the same Newegg sales.
Same exact processor, but I could have saved myself some money and not gotten the unlocked version. I've been pretty happy with just the factory Turbo up to 3.9GHz so far.

I'm also using the Intel RST (Rapid Storage Technology) that's built into the Z77 motherboards to accelerate my hard drive using a 64 GB SSD. It makes it a bit like a hybrid drive.
I kind of overdid it on the power supply though, I ended up with a 1000W ThermalTake and a Corsair case that I initially had WAY too many fans in. It sounded like a leaf blower just turning the dang thing on. Live and learn. It was my first build after all, hehe.

Yep! newegg sales are great! Like I said. It's been a beast. I really want to get that 2nd videocard, but 660tis are a lot harder to come by now and still command almost top dollar.
