ok guys who are you all rooting for in the super bowl? As a Seahawk fan of 15 years I'm hoping for a super bowl first  for my hawks, also I live really close to Denver and after dealing with some of the fans just hoping for a hawk win so they have to apologize.

For the 'hawks, of course.

BTW, Sherman was not the jackwagon in that exchange with Crabtree.  Its sad that people believe the media's pro-49ers crap, because Crabtree is a complete mouthy, arrogant dillhole and Miss Pasternick is his evil twin, but people seem to forget what both of them did when they faced the Panthers  just a few weeks ago (Crabtree walked over to the Panther's sideline and verbally harassed them during warmup and Miss Pasternick ridiculed Cam Newton during his touchdown celebration... shows their character).

Then people seem to completely ignore the fact that Crabtree shoved Sherman in the facemask, when Sherman ran up to shake his hand.  There's even video and audio of exactly what happened.

I don't blame Sherman at all for going off about Crabtree, especially since the dude has harassed Sherman via Twitter since the season started.  Sherman is one of the nicest guys in the NFL, one of the biggest cheerleaders for his teammates and the furthest thing from being a selfish diva.  He just doesn't take crap from noobs who can't walk their talk.  :)

Personally, if Crabtree had of shoved me in the face after I tried to shake his hand, I'd have knocked his head off right there.

Folks, give the Seahawks some props.  They did what they've done all season: Make great teams look ordinary.  They've done it several times over the season to the top teams in the league, yet people still insist on believing that "Denver played badly", hinting that if Denver had played at their usual proficiency, they'd have beaten the Seahawks.  Its a bit insulting to hear the dismissals of the Seahawk's win.  Its also insulting to Manning and the Broncos. (link)

Speaking of: San Francisco... lol, one of their newspapers threw Seattle an underhanded insult by making the main headline story about some sugar tax or something, and placed the Seahawk's Super Bowl win story farther down the page.  The bitterness between these two cities, teams, fans and media is nuts.  The coaches don't like each other from the college years, but somehow it all went craycray and snowballed into a regional conflict.

That's why we have a "chip on our shoulders", not just the team, but also the 12th man, the whole Puget Sound area.  All of the Puget Sound peeps that read this, know what I mean.  "We" earned this Super Bowl and "we" deserved it.

I really hope that this team+fan environment continues for many more years, and spreads to our other pro sports teams.  Pete and John have really managed to create a "sports community organization" out of the Seahawks and the fans.  The symbiosis they've nurtured is incredible and the entire world got to see it last Sunday.

Oh and here is the Richard Sherman that we know and love here in Seattle: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/pure-class-sherman-said-manning-asked-him-injured-160212854--nfl.html

Mad props to Manning and the Broncos, hopefully next year they'll be ready for Seattle-style football.

They played well on all fronts and do deserve the win but you also have to admit the Broncos played horribly. Honestly the game should have been much closer. It left me wanting 4 hours of my life back. *yawn*

I've been following the Seahawks since about hallway through the season when it looked like they might actually do something because they are my son's team.   I am so dang happy they won - he was actually speechless (I watched the game with him).  He refused to go to any of his friends' homes since they were all Bronco fans.   There were few teams that could keep up with the Seahawks or the Broncos this year and it was the Seahawks defense that made Payton have a bad day - Payton himself wasn't doing that bad, but his line had trouble handling the Seahawks and they were in his face all too often and created the bad throws.

I give huge props to them - they did exactly what they had to do.  They are a young, fast team and have great tackling - that made the difference.
