Happy Robbie Burns day to all Gaiscioch of Scottish descent. If your not Scottish nothing stops you from raising a dram to celebrate the great poets life :) I'll be on line to night with a belly full of haggis, tatters and neeps and perhaps a little of the glenfiddich and I'll probably be looking to pick a fight so I'll see you in pvp.

Why is Robbie Burns day celebrated the day before his birthday rather than on his birthday? I know nothing about him, but being as today is my birthday I felt compelled to look him up to see if it was his. I was sad to find his birthday is actually tomorrow not today.
It's always been tradition to celebrate his birthday with the traditional meal haggis, tatters and neeps the evening before his birthday. No idea why but then again this is the Scottish we ate talking about the people that invented golf and curling its sometimes best not to apply to much logic to trying to figure it out.
