IE vs Firefox/Google

I'm not sure if anyone out there can help me with this but... :)

Here is the situation. My employers web site requires authentication when opening from home pc. In Firefox/Google a small box pops up asking for username and password. After entered the page loads fine. Now when doing the same thing in IE the box pops up but when I enter the info another Windows Security box pops up and it has added my domain name (what I named my puter) to my username (Domain\username) and requires retyping password. After all this the page does not load. Just says waiting but never loads.

Being the PC illiterate I am :) I am making the assumption that the problem has something to do with the fact that the domain name has been added to my username and my work site is not recognizing the username. So my question is, How do I get IE to not add domain name to my username if possible.

Note: This is using IE10 but do not know what versions others may be using.

Note2: I personally DO NOT use IE. I am attempting to assist coworkers who are even more pc illiterate than I so that they may view/approve their time cards/request vacation from home without having to try to convince them to download Firefox/Google.

Thanks in advance,

Kevin

Here are two things you can try.

Go to "Start -> Control Panel -> Network and Internet -> Internet Options". Once there click the "Advanced" tab in the top right corner.

scroll down to  he bottom and uncheck "Enable Integrated Windows Authentication*"

Next click the "Security" tab. Click "Internet" then "Custom level..." Scroll down to "User Authentication".

under "Login" click the radio button that says "Prompt for user name and password" click "OK" and then "Apply"

Restart IE and see what happens.

I hope this helps!

Nope, neither of those solved the problem. Thanks for tryin though. I think my best bet is to try to convince others to download and use FIrefox or Chrome or wait until company IT can solve the problem (hehehe, I'm sorry! I'm not really laughing! ROFLMAO).
