Okay, so anyone who has ever read a Redwall book by Brian Jacques, they're making a Redwall game!!! Check it out!!!
Kickstarter is already over, but still! It looks cool, even though it's a pretty small scale project!

You know, I had this thought a few years ago it would make for a great MMO. I loved the books, read most of them. Its a great setting. I'll be excited to watch it as it moves forward. Lets keep the updates posted.
I think it'd be really cool as an MMO as well, but this isn't going to be one. Who knows, maybe if they do well enough with this, they could make it into an MMO. I would definitely want to play a badger in Salamandastron.

Here's a way to support if anyone is interested. I'm trying to decide how much I want to put into it.
Note: They're making a Minecraft Server for PUBLICITY. Lots of people in the comments and on the forums on the redwall website are going "Wait what? I thought this was gonna be a real game, not a Minecraft server." Well, it will be a real game. The Minecraft server is a publicity thing.

It has been awesome seeing so many people supporting this! I have loved Redwall for so many years! When I first heard about the Kickstarter I was worried there might not be enough support. While the Redwall community is very loyal, I just wasn't sure the publicity and such would be there. So, I was very happy to see the project funded well in advance of the end of the Kickstarter campaign.
I struggled with how much to put into it as well. I don't know much about the game company and I'm a little "eh" on the AbbeyCraft thing (as to whether or not it is really necessary and helpful...though I do hope it proves to be). I gave a little now and I figure I can give more later if things begin to look even more exciting.
I also agree that Redwall would be great as an MMO. So much of Redwall is about the community.
