We've got quite a few Oklahoma folk who have disappeared since the Tornado's hit. If you live in the Oklahoma area please let us know your ok.
We have many others that have not logged in in the past few months that I doubt we will hear from. I do hope you are all safe.
Thanks for asking. It means a lot. DS and I live in Tulsa and are fine. Our hearts go out to those families going through tragic changes right now.
I'm very worried about CupOFElephants & Nightshadekills as both of them live in the area hit by the tornado. If anyone hears from them please let us know.
Krychk and myself are well, as are our family and friends. The storm hit just south of us. Your thoughts and prayers are greatly appreciated as our community works together rebuild. I'm sorry we haven't been in touch sooner. May is a busy month for us anyway, and this compounds our event calendar a great deal. We will try to keep you guys updated over the next few weeks. Thank you for post. I've been trying to keep people posted on facebook, but neither of us have had much time to check much else. If you would like to help, donations to the Red Cross are awesome. As Krychk's unit was activated to the scene of the disaster, he noticed a need for blood. If you are able, please try to remember to donate blood so your own communities are prepared in case of disaster. Just Saw this post. It was scary to see it forming. I was working about 5-10 mins south of where it hit on I-35 and saw the clouds rushing in to the storm. Everything is ok at my house it touched down about 7 miles south of me thank god. I have seen very little of the affected area but what I saw was not pretty(obviously). Thank you for checking in it means a lot!
Krychk here, I just wanted to check in myself and say thank you to everyone who kept the citizens of Moore in their hearts and prayers this last week. There's still a long way to go in terms of recovery, some have lost so much. Some of the local Geospatial professionals in Oklahoma created this as a lightweight and accessible disaster tool. I'm sharing it with my extended family so as to help instill a healthy respect for the power of storms. Appreciate the concern, Tulsa resident as well. Unfortunately, the season isn't over just yet. We have more storms lined up this week. Please post back if you need help. I worked a few weeks on the Joplin tornado wreckage and I know even people not directly hit have an insane amount of cleanup to do.
We've been praying for all the folks who got affected by the tornadoes all over OK, TX, KS, and other spots. We have friends and family throughout the Midwest. Hope you all are OK. Things can be replaced, but people can't.
We watched it from our office building just North of Will Rogers airport. I hate to see anyone go through such a loss.
Glad you guys are okay. We've been praying for the hit area, even did so at our homegroup since it happened only hours before our time together. Some of the initial reports were pretty scary with a lot of undetermined true amounts to the damage and injuries. I have a healthy respect for storms. I've watched a tornado jump over the area I was in. Not pretty looking up at a funnel cloud all of a sudden.
Round 3: This one caused severe wind damage to our neighborhood, mostly shingles/roofs leaking. Rough ride this year.
