Hm. Speaking as a mouse gamer (yes I use a mouse, not keybinds, its just my style that works best for me) I just can't see myself giving up my mouse for most gaming. There's just a certain control feel to my mouse that is naturally comfortable to me, so I am not sure I'd be able to learn a whole different system of control, easily. Definitely interesting, I can see good potential for the technology. It will be something to watch.
Not sure. Reach for a drink and wipe the group... It would be handy for mimicking gestures as in-game emotes though.
Yes very cool technology. I saw this a few weeks back and was very impressed with it. I made a post in the suggestion forums on GW2 to make it compatable with the Leap. Considering Leap seems very open to working with gaming companies. It seemed like a good idea. But even if they dont I plan on getting one. Dont think I'm going to do the pre-order. Just going to wait till it hits the shelves at Best Buy.
yeah i am waiting for best buy to have it. I am hoping they give it a demo spot...but who knows. $70 is not to bad to experiment with :)

I ordered TrackIR to help take the place of some of my mouse functions, because my hand arthritis is getting to me. It uses head movements to replace some keyboard or mouse functions. I learned about it from Steve Spohn over at AbleGamers.com. There are other devices there that are really helpful, too. I'm going to take a look at this item, too. :)
So did anybody purchase this and give it a go?? I have not purchased it and have not seem much mention of it since I first saw it. Looked interesting but it is getting hard to keep up with all the new tech toys coming out all the time.
I think using it in-place-of a mouse, it would be EXHAUSTING after awhile. Holding your arms in front of you like a zombie while your wrists and fingers made weird gestures for hours. :) I think lazy me will just continue to rest my old hand on a mouse and click click click. :)
I prefer the Myo, I got my first preorder for it last year and I absolutely love it, but it just doesnt compare to the mouse for gaming, for production stuff, and presentations its awesome.
Can be configured to control rc vehicles as well, has A LOT of uses and it generally awesome.
But I dont see the mouse going anywhere in the gaming world for a good long while.
Can get a Myo soon on the next pre-order for 140 bucks I think it is - If Interested.
