wow....Wes Welker to the Broncos.
I don't know about anybody else but I think the Pats are in for a hurting this season and the Broncos are looking stronger than ever......I seriously don't understand the Patriots Management decisions. If I were Belichick I would announce my retirement now....
Well... according to the sports talk shows - Wes and Bill weren't getting along and they made it a personal decision instead of a "football" decision. Wes has made no bones about his discontentment with his "position" on the team - much like Percy Harvin on the Vikings. They wanted to be more involved and the only reason that Wes got more involved was due to key injuries to the TE's which were more of the Pat's offensive scheme so they had to use Wes more. Percy wanted to display his "wonderfulness" more by doing kick-off and punt returns - but as the only viable wide receiver the coachs didn't want to risk the possibility of injury by having him "out there" where injury was a greater risk. He got injured anyway - but it wasn't that bad but they sat him out for the remainder of the season to get his whiny mouth out of the locker room. I would have loved for Wes to go the Vikings - but Denver is a good fit for him and they are going to be strong this year. But Bill did let his feelings interfere with his decision on Wes - and if they meet in the playoffs - I really hope Wes lights them up for 150 and 3 TD's... and win, of course. Sorry if you're a Pat's fan (which you probably are) but I am tired of Bill and his hoodies and although I love many of their players - he just bugs me.
hehe I am not a Pats fan and actually don't have "a" team. I watch all the games and root for whoever I feel like rooting for at the moment :). I was just shocked as this is poor management when it comes PR and your actual playing into the post season chances. On top of the fact that Brady took a low paying contract (hahahahahah low paying...dude still makes all those millions more than me).
I am laughing at the ravens right now, the "hot shot" quarterback's contract has just destroyed their team. They lost Boldin to the 49ers, they might be losing Reed to the Texans and of course the retirement Ray Lewis. On another note, my 49ers are looking pretty. 14 picks for the draft this year. I wish it was August already.
Sigh, Jets fan here, I'm used to bad decisions by the management. Anybody want a Tebow?
Pats had their "era", just like the Cowboys and now its time for another team to take over. Personally, I'm rooting for the 'Hawks, but then again... I'm heavily biased. ;)
its almost if the ravens management were like "hey we one the big one, lets reward one player and let the rest do what they want now that they have a ring". I still think the Pats may be more "doomed" than the ravens even tho the numbers may disagree.
The 49'ers and the Seahawks (my son's team) are both looking good - but if I were the 'hawks I wouldn't count heavily on Harvin - he misses a lot of games - although the sea air might be good for his migraines. And maybe they will put him on display like he wants so he'll be happier and show up for practices - and not yell at his coach.
I am a tried and true Vikings fan, but there are several teams I root for - some because of their coaches - like the 49ers and the Ravens - love those two brothers - and some I root against either because of their owners or their coaches - like Cowboys and Pats.
And quite frankly I just hate the Bears! Greenbay! and Detroit! but that's since they are in my division - if any of them make it to the playoffs and the Vikings don't (which is typical) I root for them - as I am an NFC North fan.
I can't wait for Draft Day - we now have 2 first round picks!
