Ok maybe I should have titled this post "I'm a dork", but I'm buying an exercise bike with a keyboard tray. Just feel too lazy spending my weekenda in a comfy chair lol.

That's actually a really good idea! As long as you're motivated enough to actually pedal. I would get lazy and just sit on it! Another thing to do (if you have the space) is create a standing desk as well. It's a desk you stand at rather than sit at (hence the name) because sitting all day is really bad for you! Again, you'd have to force yourself to stand at it and not just go back to the comfy sitting desk, but it's a really good idea for people who work desk jobs all day and then come home to play on their computers (Me! 'cept I don't leave the house so it's just 16 hours of sitting in the same chair!).
Hey I figure even if I pedal intermittently it'll keep my heart rate up a little. I'll still do my daily workout, but honestly my usual 30 min workout is not enough to compensate for sitting on my ass all day! Lol
Healthier gaming FTW! Most times I play are non-events, so over the years I've made it a point to get up at least once an hour and take a break. Especially on the weekends, I use the time to do laundry and clean around the house in general. That way I never get in the mental rut of "I spent the whole morning gaming". Thanks to my skating I get a good workout Wednesday nights and Saturday mornings :)
Another good one I've heard is sitting on a yoga ball instead of a chair. It forces you to balance, tightens your abs, and corrects bad posture. At my niece's elementary school they replaced all the chairs with yoga balls! If my desk was a foot shorter I'd be all over that!
It would really cool if you could use the kinetic energy from pedaling to power your laptop/computer...then you would have to pedal. Exercise + Gaming + Saving the World (Green Energy) = WIN!
That's a really cool idea. I actually have managed to play Xbox games while walking on my treadmill, but that doesn't work very well with PC gaming. :)
I have tried some gaming exercizes in the comfort of my Lazyboy Recliner and have found a couple, as I play with my Laptop. 1. I lift my feet off the floor, back of knees off the chair for as long as I can, engaging my core/lower abdomen muscles. 2. I keep a goldgym rubber band at my chair and when I get a moment inbetween whatever I'm doing do a set of whatever excersize I'm feeling at the moment. My favorite is actually a strechting type excersizes using the band to help stretch my muscles as I work on them, specifically tricept engadging exercizes and stretching of the hams/calv by placing the band under my toes and pulling back, engaging some good muscles and stretching. I find I forget to do these excersizes sometimes...OK, more than sometimes, but they work well when I think about it. I think the standing at a desk is a really good idea, and I think using the balance ball is even better. I may try the balance ball thing. I have a small table I can use to put my laptop and mouse while I sit under it with the ball. Thank you for that idea. I'll give it a try. I do have a picture of myself spamming at my keyboard, getting really excited and losing my balance, making the table, mouse and myself fall to the floor very ungracefully, but still unharmed. :)
