Since I've joined Gaiscioch I have had awesome things happen in my life. I am not attributing my blessings to somehow be a direct correlation with joining the family but rather a trend in my life right now that I would like to share.
1st) My wife gave her blessing to let me come back into the gaming community after 3 years of taking a break due to my addictive nature to gaming. I am happy to be much more functional with my addiction. I don't think I'll ever be cured of it. But..., I seem to be functional on many levels now.
2nd) I have had my 3rd boy about the same time I joined Gaiscioch in November. Hes happy, healthy and just plain cute. I have found an awesome baby hold that still allows me to play GW2. :)
3rd) I got a huge raise with my employer and feeling extemely grateful for my wifes and my own patience in getting the necessary experience in my field of work and are now reaping the rewards. Also finding the joys of refinacing auto and home loans with all these ultra low fixed intrest rates, making paying my student loans and hospital bills non stressfull.
4th) I am making new friends with in the virtual world and outside in the real world with my new peeps here in AZ. My 6 year old boy has found some good neighbor kids that come and play at our house, whooping and a hollering and having good ol fashion fun. He excells in school in every subject and I get to tutor him at home for 30min to an hour two to three times a week with 2nd grade level reading, science, mathmatics. He is now getting into the stories of history and learning the love of a good story.
5th) I am finally getting my problems with being overweight dealt with. I am finding more routine ways of staying more active and eating better than I have in almost 10 years. I have just currently purchased a total gym. I'll let you know what I think about that piece of equipment in a few months.
6th) I think I am getting close to half way done with my urban fantasy novel. Writing was never something I thought I would actually do and really only took notes and dreamed about for decades. The last 6 months I have been toiling away at it. It may take a while yet to get it where I want it but...its a dream of mine coming to life before my fingertips and imagination.
There is a lot of I in my statements, but I am grateful for these specific reasons. I believe that all these I statements are possible because of the people around me. My wife being my champion. My kids my cheerleaders. My belief in God my rock. Being surrounded by positive people both at home and at play has been paramount. My friends in Gaiscioch are a part of it. I wanted to network myself in my play in a way that would be a positive influence on me. You guys and gals rock! I don't think I would have found this virtual world with out Old Roar Rall's story. I want what he had in his gaming life, real friends, who really care and enjoy your company.
