Bummer....

Guess my pitch was not good enouigh for my novel.  I was not one of 400 selected for the sci/fi category.  ::chuckles::  Didn't hurt to try.  Was my first attempt ever at something like this.

Back to the writing board!  Won't stop writing even if it never makes me any money and what I wind up sharing is blogs and crazy stories from table top RPG.  =)  Besides there is something else I can try for in October, but I know the novel I am still working on now will fit better for that.  Good thing I love a wide range of genre's and don't ming working through my ideas in any of them to see what happens.

bummer, bri. I hope your future endeavors turn out a bit better for ya. At least these writings gave you more experience and allowed you a chance to grow, you are brilliant my friend:)

I think your average published writer goes through a ton of rejections before they are able to get published, the key is to just keep trying and improving. It's too bad that they generally don't give individual feedback, it would be so helpful.

Sorry to hear that, Bri. I have attempted to write many times over the last 20 or so years. Unfortunately, a mental thing I have is if no one shows any interest in something I do, I just don't do it. Like with my book. I get a number of pages written, and then I just stop. My thought process is: If no one shows interest, why do it when I already know what happens? It's a very bad mindset, but I just can't shake it. It's why I had nothing really to show in the last 10 years for my RPG world except in the last month. No one showed interest, so why bother when I already now everything about it? Then again, when I do find interested persons, my mind goes into overdrive and things just get super jumbled in my mind. And as always, I ramble. Again, sorry to hear you weren't one of the 400 to go to the next round. Don't let it get you down and keep on doing. :)
