Well, I've been here in one way or another, though you all probably noticed I have not been in GW2 as much lately. There are several reasons for this:
1) I took the plunge and decided to put a novel I wrote, but wasn't sure I would ever share for many reasons, into a writing contest. I had 11 days to do this and was done three days before the due date. Not bad for a read through and editing of a novel of 120K words. BTW, that is small compared to what I read. ::chuckles:: Contest was for 50K to 150K sized works in five different genres. You could only enter one novel in one genre.
2) I'm in two Pathfinder campaigns and had the learning curve of figuring out the differences in rules compared to the last time I did a table top game. I'll be in a third with Oreofox's which he is building now. Having fun doing little writeups for Khyote's campaign in my Tales of a Treehugger posts just to share the fun with you all.
3) Research on how to get published and market my writing on a much more serious level. Seems I got some really good info on two ways to self publish with help from editing all the way to the marketing. Still want to make sure I go the right path on this and well, if I only make it to finalist I get the novel in the contest published. This is a long term for the year research in progress deal with aims to publish something for sure next year one way or another.
4) Working on another novel in progress. Pulled this one back out two days ago finding I already had a rough draft 72K words long. ::chuckles:: I have another in process as well, but going to work on one at a time and switch only if the muse wants to run with the other due to block on the other. And there are ideas for about five more scribbled down.
5) Family but this was only two weekends of the month, but it was great fun playing with my granddaughter one Sunday afternoon while we were also watching playoff games.
And with all of that I still have plenty of quality time with the hubby, mess with my pets, do my daily Bible studies, manage bi-weekly posts on a blog, house cleaning (when body allows), and I read two books in the Wheel of Time series and deep into a fat one by Clancy now. Yeah, I even watched some television and football. I cannot say I am bored even if I wind up staying home most of the time. ;)
Now I should go get myself doing some trudging on the treadmill or vacuum this den!
