Hottest day in 18 years. I really wish it were snowing.

It has been an odd year since earlier this month, Adelaide and the rest of SA had something like 40-44C. Agreed though on getting some snow.. Whoever controls it, please point the World Weather Changer out way :)
It got to 42C here in Sydney earlier in the month. I worked from home that day and have no aircon >< Thank goodness for 100 year old double-brick construction, is all I can say! And lol Elth, when I read your subject I could instantly hear Ketut's voice in my head saying, "Like a sunrise!"
That's nothing, it was 30 degrees here the other day. Harden up you aussies!

Well, we are having the January thaw here after it being COLD. -3 F or about -20C (rounded it out in my head but could be lower LOL). But today it is 37 F , about 3 C. If I could have took your heat and my cold we would all be in the happy room temperature range. HA! I would be trying to hide in AC or something with that heat you guys are having since my body does not regulate temperature well. I can't even sit in a hot tub at 100 F / 38C because it heats me up only a little above the usual body temperature. Actually I'm overheating with it being 40 degrees warming on the F scale and more humid in my house while drinking my coffee! Last week I was using a blanket and wearing a sweatshirt due to the cold seeping in. So deal with that irradic mess. Makes me want to move back to Alaska, that is still more predictable this year and steady than the Northeast US ever was! Then again this time of year we used to have a foot of ice on the ponds and would drive cars out there to spin out way back in my childhood days. ::snickers::
I live an hour away from Death Valley, California. I feel for you Elth, it gets absurdly hot here as well :(
How would you Aussies like our 10C (50F) and rain that we're having here in the Puget Sound area (Seattle)? I love laughing at my friends around the rest of the country, when they hit extreme weather conditions. They laugh at our rain, but at least our weather is temperate. :)
Sekkerhund, I would absolutely love to live in Seattle with 10 degrees. I used to live in Canberra (Australian capital) and our winters were maximum 10C and minimum -10C, unfortunately summers there were in the high 30s-early 40s and most houses didn't have aircon. I'm thinking I might move to NZ one day, Mijjah gets all the good weather.
Yup, I steal the good weather because it gets to me first as I am in the future. I then give Elth all the hotness. K, not like that...wrong sounding, but you know what I mean!

Its -44c with the wind, -33c without, which on the colder side of things here, not usually quite this cold for this look, been a week or so now with it being this cold. Looks like its going to warm up this next week, weather has been crazy here, jumping by 20 degrees every couple weeks. (still below zero but still)

Got to love Southern AZ weather. It may get 20F in the coldest nights then back into the 60s during the day. This weekend looks to be in the low 70s during the day. Yeah for AZ winters!
