A phone technician will be coming by sometime between 8am and 8pm tomorrow to troubleshoot why my connection has been so rotten. It may be that my 2wire DSL modem, provided by AT&T might be on it's last legs. If that's the case I'll need to buy a new one.
At&T supports two gateways other than my old version.I'd rather stick to equipment they will support rather than using something better. I don't have a separate router in any event so my choices are limited.
<ahref="http://www.att.com/equipment/accessories/gateways-routers-modems.jsp> Netgear DSL Gateway Model 7550 and PACE DSL Gateway Model 4111N </a> are the choices that would appear to work for me.
From what i can find online, niether is a particularly wonderful product. If folks are happy with them it's hard to find online testimonials from them. So I'm hoping the family might have some experience with either gateway/modem.
Can anyone help me choose between the two?
