I'm feeling in the mood to play some DnD even if it's just in a chatroom with a dice roller. Would anyone know where to go for that?

If you're willing to do a slower game, there are several play by post campaigns that run on dndonlinegames.com, but it can be rather slow going.
I'm looking for more ones done in chat rooms.
Try obsidian portal
Damn, next time I need to read properly :P I was thinking this was a "Anyone want to play?" :P
Yeah, Obsidian Portal is the main thing I think of, or Giants in the Playground too perhaps.

I've been running D&D games for a looong time and I'm in the process of putting together an online game using http://roll20.net/ I'm still looking for players if you're interested. I'll be using the Pathfinder rules system, I feel it's superior to anything else out there.
From a friend of mine, she said pretty much the same thing. I've played a brief amount of the old Pathfinder RPG some years ago (barely remember it at all) but been meaning to check up on it. Mostly I don't buy pen and paper stuff anymore since we (Marrra and I) live where our friends don't, so we lack people to do it with. Although, that didn't stop me buying the main stuff for Fantasy Flight's Warhammer Fantasy RPG for one of those "Just incase" moments ;)
Wow, Roll20 looks awesome. I wrote an application a number of years ago to handle playing tabletop RPGs over the internet. Text chat, open dice rolling, real-time whiteboard, etc. It worked quite well, and I used it to play games for years, but it looks like Roll20 is the next evolution.
@Nash I don't really know the Pathfinder rule system. So long as you're going to allow for me to bring in my half-orc barbarian (whom will be hysterical) and allow me to think up unorthodox ways to fight, I'm in.
I'm game as well. What timezone Nash? I also am not familiar with Pathfinder rules.
Pathfinder is "D&D 3.75". It is very similar to D&D 3.5 but a little more refined. Check out this website, http://www.d20pfsrd.com/, it has all of the rules for Pathfinder. Actually with that website you don't even need books, and it is legal due to the Open Gaming Licence. Also time and day of the week Nash, I am interested if it doesn't conflict with other stuff for me.
We have a weekly online Pathfinder game. We use RaidCall for chat and www.roll20.net for the virtual desktop. It is easy to use, runs in a browser, and is free. We love it.
I would like to hear a little bit more info on that one, Randeth.
I'd like to hear more info from Nash too.

I've been playing Pathfinder for a few years, including PFS at Gencon. However, my group has gone on hiatus and it is uncertain if it will resume. I would be interested playing in this type of game, so please keep me in mind, too.
I used to play and DM D&D, but that was back in the day! Back when we thought it was awesome someone came up with a program you could use for making characters faster. We also used the character history generation system from a book that led to some hilarious stuff let alone what we wound up doing anyway. A friend and I took turns DMing one time and they were all neutral to evil in my campaign where they wound up doing the right thing while our goody-two-shoes crew in his campaign managed nothing but trouble. Trouble as in draining a whole lake, burning down part of a city, etc. HA! To top it off the captain of the guard he created had a curse on him that he sounded like he had marbles in his mouth along with a lisp if not in an antimagic area. Yeah, good times which I miss. Never got to game much since then and so I would have to check out the website posted about pathfinder rules, but the cool thing about the d20 system is the live action gaming group I used to be with used it to make some table top games based on the world we used for our LARP comapaigns. So what time do people actually game. Depending on day and time I could have fun with this and have another way to drive the hubby nuts with gaming. LOL!
I would definitely be interested in playing a Pathfinder game. I have had roll20 on my bookmarks for months now, and while I have many of the Pathfinder books, I am not too familiar with the rules. Though it being basically "D&D 3.75" makes it not much different, as I am very familiar with 3.5 D&D rules. I have been dying to play D&D for about 7 years now, which was the last time I played.
I've already made up my character sheet.

y do so many of u prefer pathfinder 4.0 was just so much better. Haven't checked out what 5.0 will really change. But in 3.5-pathfinder was just so-so takes 2 long to lvl till u hit higher lvls u feel like a peasant that picked up a sword/staff.
Personally, I prefer Pathfinder because 4.0 was too limiting on how to play classes, your choices were limited by taking the useful abilities or being useless (to easy/necessary to min/max), skills didn't matter. They de-emphasized the Role-playing aspect of the RPG. They made a "holy trinity" like MMOs. As far as leveling speed goes my groups have done away with awarding exp to players (in level based games like Pathfinder/D&D), the DM/GM just says, "Ok, level up before next session", so leveling speed is dependent on the story arc not numbers. If you feel like a peasant who just picked up a sword, your DM/GM either wants the game to feel that way or is doing something wrong IMO, players should feel like they are the heroes, not necessarily always epic but always the heroes. Trained heroes that get better through the trials and hardships they face until they become epic.
Since we haven't heard back from Nash or Randeth, I'll take the lead and say I'll DM. I'll be using Pathfinder, Roll20.net, and Raidcall. I'll plan on being ready the week after x-mas. I'm thinking either Sunday or Wednesday nights, once we get the group established we'll figure out which night, I'm leaning toward Sunday though. I'm thinking 3 hour sessions. I'd like to start from 5-7 website time (aka: PST), if I'm the furthest West then I'd shoot for 5 PST so as to not run as late. For those that are interested I'll run up to 6 players, with a minimum of 4. Details about how to create characters and what not will be forthcoming after I get the group established.
You guys sound like you're going to be having so much fun. A group of my friends and I have been playing a Pathfinder campaign for the last few weeks and have another planned when this campaign is over.. I've really enjoyed the little bit of Pathfinder I've been playing. Very different from D&D 4 ed, which is what I started gaming on.
Sign me up, Khy0te!
I'm actually getting so I feel better again with actually getting on some evenings when there isn't something on TV I like to watch regularly. If I were to jump in on Kyhote's Sunday night crew, I would have to do a 5pm to 8pm pst since I am east coast and prefer to aim for bed by 11:30est on days I feel good.
I would absolutely love to join up, Khy0te. Sunday would probably be better for me, and the earlier the better, since I am Eastern time zone. So, 5pm would be better start time (8pm my time), though earlier would not bring complaints. I will have to install Raidcall, and read up more on Pathfinder and such. Been so long since I played D&D, I know I will be absurdly rusty. And I said early would be best for me (I know it will be a time best for all) as I don't like to be on the computer late into the night for some reason. Didn't use to be that way, but it is now. But, with it not being every day, I wouldn't have much problem. Already have an idea of a character (my usual druid character), so will be anticipating the creation rules.
Okay there's 3 one more and we'll be at the ideal minimum party size. It look like Sunday, Sunday, Sunday, will be the day, and a 5pm start, I'll see what my Sunday afternoons are looking like because 4pm sounds like it'll be better for the East coast folks, plus that way it'd give us up to a 4 hour window if we run long. Would people want a December 30th start or a January 6th start? I'm good for either but I know December 30th may still have holiday stuff going on for some people.
Not sure how Dec 30th will be - too many things in the air though even if we go to a sister-in-law's that weekend, hubby stated he wanted to drive back on Sunday so I would be home. Just traveling sometimes wigs me out with the MS. HA! Should know by this weekend what Dec 30th will really be like. Seems the last nearly 9 years of kennel service is no more, so that is the main issue on getting anywhere. Will start checking things out at the sites referenced above.
Honestly, I don't care even if it's just a 1 on 1 to shake the rust off. So long as I'm playing, I'm happy.
December 30th or January 6th, either is fine for me.
would love to do some D&D unfortionately sunday seems to be the plan and i work nights (so sleeping at the times you want to do this) If anyone would like to do a game wensday or tuesday though let me know been iching for some D&D for awhile now.
I would honestly not have a problem if it was Wednesday night instead of Sunday. Either works fine for me.
Well, plans changed so I won't be going away for a weekend until January, but like I said, I would be home in time for Sunday evening. Wednesday wouldn't be bad either. I just know it seemed like others before me said Sunday was better. =)
Well either day is good for me, so Wednesday would work too. I'll need until January 2 for Wednesday. I need to prepare and get maps built on roll20.net. FYI roll20.net is free so go ahead and sign up for it. Check out http://www.d20pfsrd.com/ for the rules for Pathfinder. I'll have character creation stuff up tomorrow here.
we are moving in January and I need to leave my 3.5 groups behind =( I would love to join you guys if you still have room!
Khyote I would love to join your D&D/Pathfinder game. I have recently gotten back into D&D after a long hiatus(20yrs in fact) I have acquired all the core books from 3e-4e, but willing to read-up on the Pathfinder rule set. I have been looking around my small Missouri town for a group and have found nothing, so hearing about this has peaked my attention. As for date/time I'm open for nights until Jan 21st after then I'll be moving to a Mid-shift work schedule(11pm-7am CST), so if you don't think our campaign will take that long. You can email me all the details... engwar4evr@yahoo.com
Sunday night if you can start at 4:00 pst. I get up extremely early for work.
Oops wrong thread... Don't worry though Pathfinder stuff will be up later today.
» Edited on: 2012-12-19 05:46:15
Already played around with a basic idea for a character using the pathfinder rules and will fine tune it based on your post for the character creation you will be posting later. Plan on being an elven druid. Already have a good idea how she will react to things. Should be an interesting crew we wind up with once we get going. Set up my account at roll20 today as well. It's amazing how much of this I actually got done this morning while listening to my mom on the phone telling me all about what has been going on at her stable, etc. ::chuckles:: Then again the rules aren't far off from what I remember and somewhat simplified. At this day and age of my life, simple is GOOD!
I got ideas for 3 possible characters. A barbarian, (if multiples of a class is allowed [I know some DMs don't like having people with the same class]) a druid, and (if allowed) an alchemist (since isn't part of the "core" but was detailed on the site you linked). Waiting (im)patiently for your stuff to be posted so I can dive into it. And thinking half-orc for race.
» Edited on: 2012-12-19 12:05:37
i gotta say im a bit overwelmed with the choices so if anyone who more familiar with pathfinder could walk me through makeing the character i want i would be very greatful.
Excile: I am sure once Khyote gives us the rules for character creation, we could definitely help walk you through creating a character.
Ok first Engwar: I plan on running this campaign for a few months at least. You're welcome to join while you can.
Second: Players, it looks like Viktor, Briseadh, Oreofox, Berelyth, Radiologikal, Excile, and Engwar (while he can) so we're full up! =)
Third: Character creation stuff...
Races: Dwarf, Elf, Half-Elf, Half-Orc, Halfling, Human, Gnome, Tiefling, and Aasimar.
Classes: Any Core or Base class from the Main Pathfinder book (Core classes), Advanced Players Guide, Ultimate Combat, and Ultimate Magic (Base classes). This includes using the modifications to classes from said books (eg: Urban Ranger or Drunken Master Monk).
Level: 1 is the loneliest number, but you need to start somewhere so you're starting at 1.
Statistics: Array, assign these to whatever statistic you like. 18, 16, 14, 14, 12, 10
Hit Points: Maximum for first level: Die type + Constitution Modifier (eg: Wizard with a Con of 8 [d6 + -1 = 5], Fighter with a Con of 16 [d10 + 3 = 13], Bard with a Con of 10 [d8 + 0 = 8]).
Traits: Traits are like "half-feats" You get 2 of them at first level, there are multiple categories of them, you may only take one from a given category. Please note that these stack with feat bonuses but not with other traits.
Note: Because this can be missed easy, Characters have a preferred class, this is usually your first class, but it does not have to be, when you gain a level in you preferred class you gain one of three benefits: 1 extra Hit Point, 1 extra Skill point, or a Race/Class specific benefit (these are usually something that it takes multiple levels of taking before you see the benefit)*.
My email is khyote at gmail dot com, feel free to email me with questions. Also, we can set up a day and time or two so I can help people make characters. When you email me put you Gaisioch site name as the first word of the subject, I'm more likely to respond faster that way. Also once you have your character made please email it to me as a google doc, *.doc (not *.docx), or PDF file.
Time and Day: Sunday at 4:00 pm PST (site time). This seems to be the best after looking over all of the responses.
Bri: Should I set up a new RC Channel or should we use the Gaisioch one? And, Do you think Fog would/could set up a PnP gaming section to the message boards on the site? I'd like a place where the other family members could read of our exploits in Golarion (Pathfinder's world).
* There is a new(ish) book out called the Advanced Race Guide which has more of these options to make sure all race/class combinations have one, if your race/class combination isn't presented in the list from the Advanced Players Guide you may use the ones from Advanced Race Guide.
So I think that's about it. Sorry about being wishy washy on the date. If you have any questions post them here or email me. Plan on being ready on the 30th of December.
» Edited on: 2012-12-19 12:11:56
Woo, thanks Khy0te. Will end up with a half-orc alchemist. Will get to working on it and then email you the character.
Also, question: Since you are letting us use the modified classes (such as drunken master monk, etc), does this also include the races? Such as (in my case, with the half-orc) substituting "Acute Darkvision" for "Orc Ferocity", listed in the Alternate Racial Traits on the website you linked us earlier?
» Edited on: 2012-12-19 12:51:54
when would you be on raidcall again khyote? cause i have some questions that i think your the only one who can answer khyote.
Oreo: Good Question! With approval yes, and that one would be fine. Excile: I can be on after 5pm PST today.
Perfect date/time for me Khyote. I should be able to stay the duration of the campaign. I'll look for you in RC today for more questions and introductions. Thanks again for doing this I'm looking forward to it.
Khyote - 1) We have an other game section with four subgame rooms in it already on the Gaiscioch Raidcall. We can use one of those for our weekly doings. These are found ALMOST at the bottom of the room list above the AFK room. 2) Still have to talk to Fog about your idea for a PnP forum of some sort for other games where we can post to share the mayhem we cause you. MUWHAHAHHA 3) Need to email you my character still but need to discuss where the base saving throw stats can be found because I know there should be a chart or something. Can't find it. Also, you never said how match money we are to start with - max or do we roll it or go for the average for the class we pick? Figured out all the other stuff based on your instructions above.
Bri: 1: Ok cool I knew those were there but wasn't sure about using them for PnP games. 2: No Worries. 3: The charts are with the character classes (it has you base attack bonus, Fort save, Ref save, and Will save on it plus what abilities the class gets at each level), you'll get a +2 to on save and +0 to the other 2 at first level (+ the stat bonuses for each, Constitution modifier to Fortitude, Dexertity modifier to Reflex, and Wisdom modifier to Will). Starting Gold is the maximum for your class (eg: Fighter starts with 5d6x10 gp at first level so 300 gp).
The base saving throws are next to the Base Attack Bonus. Being a druid, your saves at level 1 are +2 Fortitude, +0 Reflex, and +2 Will. If you use the website Khyote listed, there's a table that lists Level, BAB (base attack bonus), Saves (Fort, Ref, Will), Special Abilities, and then your Spells per day. And if you mean what stats influence them, Constitution boosts Fortitude, Dexterity boosts Reflex, and Wisdom boosts Will. If you need any help with creating, I will be in Game Room 4 on Raidcall. I can help with any character creation questions as I (unfortunately?) have so much of this stuff memorized that I could have not used any books to create mine if we were doing normal 3.5 edition instead of Pathfinder (which is different in key areas, and the same as well).
Hey sorry I got swarmed and didn't get back to everyone in time on the boards. Guess I missed the boat. Enjoy.
» Edited on: 2012-12-20 14:31:16
1. I set up my account on roll20. 2. Date/time is great for me. 3. Do you have a list of classes being played already? I like to try to make a character that will "fill out" the group.
Looking good Khyote. I plan to create a Cleric.
Looks like I found this thread a little late, too. Any chance someone will make a second group ;)
I think I will. I'll be starting a new thread for the next group in the next hour so keep an eye out.
Radio: So far we have a Half-Orc Barbarian, Half-Orc Alchemist, Dwarf Cleric, Human Fighter, and an (unknown) Cleric. I haven't heard what Bri is playing yet for sure but I think she's playing a Druid.
I believe Bri plans on being an Elf Druid.
Yeah, I'm going to be that crazy tree huggin', animal luvin' Elf druid. ;) I need to go look at the class page again for the base rolls because I obviously by that point had been looking at things too long and it was nigh on bed time. HA! It's not like having a paperbook and I can put stickynotes, paperclips and dog ear things to find the important pages. I'm such a nerd with oldfashioned paper habits! And looks like my class is the poorest, but she roams the wilds a LOT! Off to gear her up and get by die rolls on my sheet so I know them. Then off it goes for the Khyote stamp of approval. =) And Nash, hope you get a group going. Seems to be quite a few people in doing this weekly for a change of pace and fun.
I am logged into game 4 of the "other games" channel in Raidcall if anyone still would like some help in getting their characters created/finished, or have any questions about the creation stuff. Always willing to help out :) And glad to see I am not the only half-orc. Just hope no one finds it offputting that my little alchemist is female, and hearing a male voice for her. Though being part orc should ease it a little. Heh. Just couldn't figure out a decent name for a male half-orc, so went with female as I already had a decent name from another game.
won't find it off at all - we have a lot of guys with female toons in the online games we play. ::chuckles:: Isn't any different though with voice chat and this type of game, you can have some fun with it. ;) Of course, when I did D&D in college 99% of the time I was the only female player. When I started Live action roleplay gaming it was 10 guys to 1 girl, so we had guys having to dress up as female NPCs/scripts. Hehe! So my elf could wind up in the woods with two half-orcs. Hmm, this could be interesting due to sound and smell. MUWHAHAHA! She does carry soap!
To make it easier, my roll20 and raidcall avatars are images of my half-orc (even though she ended up looking more full orc). Is it December 30th yet? >.>
I decided to go with a Aasimar Cavalier. I am still working on details and backstory.
I'm still not entirely sure how to create a sheet for Pathfinder. I don't have Excel, Office, or Adobe.
@Radiologikal ok just got done reading up on your race and class, to say this will be interesting to play is an understatment. @viktor go download adobe reader its free after youve done that i can send you a sheet that was sent to me:)
Sounds like we will have an interesting group. Looks like it will be half-orc barbarian, half-orc alchemist, aasimar cavalier, dwarf cleric, human fighter, elf druid, and a cleric of unknown race. I definitely look forward to getting this going. And Viktor: http://get.adobe.com/reader/ free Adobe pdf reader. Then just get with Excile (or me, as I have a few sheets as well) and we can send ya the character sheet. I am sure you could also look up "pathfinder character sheet" and get one that way. There may even be a website that has an online character sheet. I know some "play by post" sites have them, though don't know if any have one specific for Pathfinder. All you would have to do is register for the site, and then create your character on there. And I will be in Game 4 of the "Other Games" section of our Raidcall all the time (and almost all day as well) if anyone would like to yak away or get some help on creating characters. Or if you want someone to bounce ideas off of. Look for [GSCH]Oreofox.
I have Adobe reader, I can open PDF's. I just can't do anything to them as far as I'm aware.
Most don't allow you to modify them. The only way to "modify" them is to print them out and use pencil on them (that way when leveling you can erase what changes). http://www.pathfinderdb.com/character-sheets/form-fillable-character-sheets/222-modified-neceros-character-sheet There's a decent modifiable character sheet that you can use. Then you just fill it out, save it, and then you can even mail it off to Khyote for his use.
How goes things for everyone?
I'm ready to go...Signed up and configured @ roll20.net and flushed out my backstory. Edrik Earlhammer the Dwarven Cleric is ready for action!
I'm ready. Just waiting until after the holiday stuff to see if Khyote has any issues with my character setup. It wasn't hard, just that I'm not used to the slightly different way they have you set up saving throws and attacks. Used to have a base roll for them and now you just add a bonus to the roll and the DM will tell you if you hit or saved. Used to the old days of the THAC0. I played 2.0 the most. ::chuckles as she dates herself:: Oh wait, I even played the original since I've done D&D on and off since 1980 when my neighbor got it for Christmas.
Was going to hop in to chat with Oreofox at one point when not immersed in GW2, but didn't manage to yet. Can't wait until we get playing Sunday night and getting to know each other better while having fun. Don't forget the gaming snacks! The one crew I played with in college was big into Doritos. Then I got older and we took turns DMing. The DM would host and make dinner, so two of us took turns at the DMing to share in hosting as well as having turns to just play instead.
» Edited on: 2012-12-24 06:31:01
yeah ill be good as soon as khyote get back to me on my character since i needed help with the final stuff (hes just filling in little things for me:)
Gonna be in Game 4 room all week long, and almost all day.
All I need to do, really, is get a personality for this half-orc girl. She's a bit of a contradiction. She's super smart (20 intelligence), yet primitive (came from the Land of the Mammoth Lords, which is basically Ice Age North America). Spent the last 2 years of her life in the starting city and learned the ways of the alchemist. She's not completely naive after living in civilization for so long. Poor girl had to raise herself in a harsh land at the age of 5 (mother died, father was the rampaging orc, and her tribe felt disgust when looking at her since she resembles an orc so much).
And I have played a single game of 1st edition in 1997. Got some 2nd edition books in 1999, and then a year later (or so) the 3rd edition was released (makes me sad I spent all that money on the 2nd edition). I played a few 2nd edition games, but no one wanted to play because they couldn't really understand Thac0. Played 3rd (and 3.5) for about 5 years, and haven't played since 2007. And while 6 days is nothing compared to 5 years, it's still killing me. Is it the 30th yet? hehe >.>
Edit: If I am not in raidcall, then I am more than likely on my break from the computer. Other than that, I will be there (almost) all day. In the evening, depending on how tired I am feeling, or if I just want to watch some TV, you probably will see me in there.
Come keep me company. I won't bite much. :p As mentioned earlier, you can bounce ideas off me if wanted. And getting to know the players and their characters more would be fun for me.
New edit: Seems Raidcall is having problems. A lot of people are unable to connect to anything. It's what I am experiencing at the moment when trying to log back into raidcall.

ok so any restrctions on the traits we can use?
none other than what class and race may be listed. you get two to have fun with and don't forget a feat. =) Now what I did was check what would go best with my class setup and some of the personality that I had for the character in mind. So being a druid I went for things that would help her increase her skill in animal and nature things along with survivability. I know my character is good to go because Khyote got back to me yesterday. The poor guy had a nasty fever and hopefully he is feeling better today to enjoy his Christmas.
Yeah. My half-orc is good to go. Hope he's feeling better. I think Excile was more referring to the "Rich Parents" trait.
Sadly, I'll probably be missing the first day of the campaign. My (RL) family made plans to go out to visit a lot of my family members at a very fancy restaurant.
It involves seeing my Grandmother. Upsetting her would bring the wrath of my family down upon me for hundreds of years. I can already imagine my computer getting chucked out of a window.
So either I'll be late getting there or I won't be able to at all. It'll all depend on when we get back.
EDIT: I had already sent a mail to Khyote about this. He will do the campaign without me, but we'll all have the same XP when the next day of the campaign comes.
» Edited on: 2012-12-26 00:42:30
So the background for Ona is complete and I'm really looking forward to the first session. I will probably end up missing the second session due to the move across country but I will be there for all the following sessions.
So, is Berelyth still joining up with us? Haven't heard a peep from them since the 20th. Just curious, is all.
I might be running an hour late on Sunday. Due to the Holiday schedule I won't get off work until 7pm CST, but we also might shutdown early? But either way I'll jump in and catch up.
@Oreofox, Yes, I have helped him with his character. He should hopefully sign up on roll20 soon. @Engwar, ok, no problem, we'll see you when you get there. Did I miss anyone in the email with the sign up link for roll20 and the campaign? If so let me know so I can e-mail you the link.
That's good to hear, Khyote. Oh, is it alright if I switched her Dexterity and Charisma scores with each other? The way they were didn't exactly mesh with her backstory I came up with.
@Oreofox: Not a problem.
Thinking the only thing I should add, and she has enough money for it, is a bronze knife for cutting things. Never know when that might be needed and daggers are not always appropriate for cutting jobs. ;)
hey do we need to send you a final copy of our character sheets? also are there any traits we cant use? specificly the rich parents trait.
» Edited on: 2012-12-28 09:58:53
@Excile: If you want, I think we're good unless you have questions. The Rich Parents trait is fine.
One more day and the wait will be no more. But the last day is always the worst. I look forward to playing with you guys. And with the prospect of playing some D&D, computer games just don't compare. My desire to play them greatly lessened once D&D was put on the table. And just to be certain, it's 4pm pacific time, correct? My roll20 must not know timezones very well, because it tells me it starts at 6pm, which would be true if I was in central time. Just wanting to getit cleared up.
I didn't know that was suppose to give a peep. Anyway, I'll be playing a Sylph Sorcerer.
No worries Berelyth. :) Glad to see that we have a real arcane caster now. I definitely look forward to tomorrow now.
Sunday, Sunday, Sunday! Yes folks, today is the day. 4:00pm PST is when we will start the the first session of the online Pathfinder group. I'll be in RC from about 3:00pm PST on for last minute questions and what not, hopefully Game 4 (if not there come find me). Try to be in RC and roll20 a little before 4:00pm PST.
I will more than likely be in Raidcall all day long (like I usually am), hogging up Game 4. Only about 8 or so hours left to go. Oh, and if you take a look-see at this before then, Khyote, I have a question: Are we keeping track of ammunition? And what about food? I still have about 75g left over because I wasn't certain. I know some DMs do, some don't.
Only thing I bet I have issues with tonight is getting used to roll20 since I never used it before. Of course, I'm a geek so I figure out programs pretty fast though I have found some that have made me wonder what the programmer was smoking when they did it. HA!
@Oreofox: I don't really worry too much about ammo, I'll explain it tonight. Purchase a full quiver/case for a bow or crossbow if you have one. Slings use rocks so no worries there. However due to size and weight: daggers, hand axes, darts (these aren't modern game darts they're about 18" to 36" long), javelins, spears, etc. need to be tracked. Food won't be too big of an issue either, again I'll explain tonight. @Bri: It's pretty simple so no need to stress. I'll run everyone through setting up marcos and making rolls.
Khyote, you are right, pretty easy and nifty program. Good helpful group so wasn't hard getting everyone going, even those who unfortunately had to come a bit late. Still got them in the awesome mayhem in the mix of setting things up. Thanks for the awesome start.
Now, I was going to write down all the character names and who played what, but I forgot. Do you have a list, Khyote, that you can share with all of us to help out with knowing who is who?
BTW Faraois is pronounced Fa-rees. At least I think the R is in the 2nd syllable. ;)

From what I remember, the character+player is: Oreofox: Sharha (half-orc alchemist) Briseadh: Faraois (elf druid) Engwar: Edric (dwarf cleric) Berelyth: Shifty (sylph sorcerer) Radiologikal: Ona (aasimar cavalier) Excile: Samantha (human fighter) Viktor: Bulosh (half-orc barbarian)
@Bri: Yes I do have a list... it's the same as the one Oreo posted. =)
Thanks for the list. I had maybe 50% of it figured out from memory and what I could see in the chat log from last night. ::chuckles::
Man!...it looks like I missed out on a great oppurtunity here. I hope I can find a group to help me get going with D&D again. It would be a great change up from GW2. Sunday would have been a great day for me too. :(
Cliff: There's a second group trying to form up here on the forums. You could give that a look, and see if the day they are trying for will work out for you. If not, there's also a 4th Edition group looking to form as well.
The days for Nash's crew (see the D&D 2nd group thread) will be Monday or Tuesday. I know I would like to be in that one too, but no biggy if I don't. After all, group two goes to those first NOT in group one and then fills in with group one however Nash wants. =)
