Just pre-purchased on Steam. I have to admit I'm not much of an FPS kinda gal but this game is beautiful. I've been watching some of my regular youtuber press (Hannah from Yogcast and Northerlion) play preview press copies. I never played 1 or 2 of the game, but it does not appear you need to know the story line.
I think it will do well as a nice distraction from GW2.
Anyone else picking up a copy?
I thought about buying it, I think I reached my 'new game' quota of the year with GW2, XCOM, and Dishonored.. I'd like to here how you like it though.
Oh I'm all over this game. I've played all of the Far Cry games. 1 was way better than 2. This one looks good. The reviews are coming back very positive. I'm pretty pumped about it.
I've been playing it on and off. Seems like a good game so far but I would have liked a better ui for backpack and crafting and the "drag after takedown" skill to allow you to drag more than just once like in Hitman you can just drag bodies. Graphics and awesome. Hopefully some tweaks will be incoming but unfortunately its not a mmo so its not likely to get major ui changes. Also Hang gliding is awesome
I got it... it's a great game. I'm enjoying it a lot. The shooting feels solid, the environment feels alive, and it looks great and plays even better. Some things could be better (menus, drag bodies) but it's a HUGE improvement over Far Cry 1 and 2. I strongly recommend it.
Agreed, everything I mentioned, I mentioned because that is the worst of the game and those are fairly small critizisms. 9/10 at least
I got it on PS3. I am having an absolute blast with it. but for me the bread and butter is the level editor. I have spent as much time there as i have playing the game itself. In FarCry2 i used the level editor to make my neighborhood where i live as a map. I heard something about Ubisoft listening to players and doing a UI overhaul soon to help fix the complaints. I cant wait to get my new internet installed in my house so i can actually play multiplayer. :)
Anyone know if the co-op is any good?
2 different endings. No spoilers for those playing it but I thought one ending was absolute crap. Totally ruined any immersion, wish I had never seen it and they had never even made that a choice.
