Hey Guys,
So Pookah has a event where you can jam out to music and WvW at the same time. He brings in his Pookah DJ character to play music over raidcall for people while the event is going. If your not into the music or can't make out what people are saying simply go to the music bot (Always on Broadcast) right click it and select "Ignore Voice". Do not right click and Mute Voice. That silences it for everyone. Once you've ignored the bot you wont hear any music at all.
On a good note, from my perspective it did not hinder us much with the music on. Raidcall balances things nicely and he is not BLASTING his toons. of course, not everyone likes the same thing, so there is definitely the option to Ignore even in raidcall, but be sure not to mute it because I know I liked it along with a lot of others. =) I think it helped keep chatter down a lot more too though at times we still got carried away, but Pookah wrangled us in pretty fast. Good job Pookah, first time I ran with ya.
I think Pookah's event is great, and the music adds to the fun. If you donlt like the music, then either 'ignore voice' or attend a different group. Yay Pookah, thanks for the amusing, yet effective event :)
The music was mild background music and was not distracting at all. The event was quite fun and we had a lot of laughs.

I had a blast with the music, and thought it was a really nice touch (except during the accidentally-muted phase, when we couldn't figure out why the music suddenly went quiet). Everybody was shufflin', shufflin'! ;) It didn't impair hearing what anyone was saying for me, but it's nice to know individuals can opt to silence the DJ for themselves without affecting the whole channel.
There's no debate whether the event is out of line by using music. This post was just pointing out that you can mute the music bot so that you can hear it clearly. We have a few members who are hard of hearing and the extra noise made it hard to distinguish orders. This will allow the mass majority of the group to continue jammin to tunes while smashing skulls while allowing those that prefer no music to mute the bot and play without. Win win situation. Keep up the good work Pookah :).
Sometimes I wear a headset and sometimes I have VoIP come over my main speakers. That plays a big role in how well I can hear the voices, and how much music masks the others. Pookah as a leader is effective and fun. Definitely one of our strongest commanders.
