Go Check Out The New ''About Us'' Section

Well everyone, several lunch breaks later the about us section is complete. I'm very excited to get this online as it should change the way people learn about us, talk about us, join us and help all of you survive as one of us. I'm hoping the new section de-mystifies the process of going from interested person to veteran member. keep posted over the next few days for the all new section. There's a total of 35 new pages worth of content coming to this new section.

Just click on "About Us" on the primary naviagtion to check out the new section. There's still a few areas I plan to patch but for the most part it's all there. In the coming weeks/months i'll be rolling that subnav style over onto the rest of the sections. So when you click on any one of the primary nav items it will take you to the home of that section along with a quick and easy navigation structure. You'll also notice im working on getting rid of the side walls. Enjoy!

What Are The Key Features Of Being A Gaiscioch? (as you see them)

Well in my eyes the key feature would be the family environment. How eager people are to help one another and encourage participation to members new & old (no Jexia I'm not saying you're old!). Also the incredible Marketplace gives members such a HUGE advantage over the rest of the Faeblight community. Just another demonstration of how much we work together to have fun and make the most of our time together.

One piece of feedback about the "About Us" button. The font size is really small, like 4 point. I honestly can't read it with my usual computer glasses. For accessibility, it would be nice to use a larger font (even if it makes the buttons wider), plus image Alt text.

The top button bar is at maximum width for a 1024x768 monitor which is the most frequently used atm. A lot of people surfing with IPads. If I widen it any more people get scrollbars horizontally.

I understand about the width. For alt text, it looks like you'll need to stick that in the title= attribute of the enclosing A tag. It's not coming through from the IMG tag in the browsers I tried (IE, Chrome). Thanks for having mercy on those of us with less than perfect vision.
