For all of you LoTR fans out there who enjoy studying the backstory to the books and movie, this genealogy/family tree is really cool - as a warning, this is a huge file and the site takes a little while to load. I have been listening to an audio version of the Silmarillion, and tracing the connections between all the characters as laid out on this site is helping me understand it better. Over the years, I've read the Silmarillion three times (and listened to it once) and there is just SO much information, that I still feel lost... heh heh...

Man, the Silmarillion is a rough read. SO many names. Love it though.

Doesn't Tolkien already have most of the family tree written and drawn out in his appendixes? I swore I saw several family trees in the appendixes.
