Sorry Fog if I double posted this you can remove my thread or merge or delete it then.

I got stuck behind some errors that seemed to go away when I tried a different browser. Other folks report no problems, so maybe it was just a server problem. Important! There's only a couple days to do the sign up - should close eraly Friday some time. Don't delay! ;)

The sign up process worked fine for me using IE9 under Windows7.

Thats funny, it wouldn't work for me when I used Chrome. :( Got it working on IE though.

worked fine for me in Chrome, but I had to make sure my dxdiag was not up before it would submit.

Worked great for me in Win7x64 with IE9.Thanks for the info Fog :)

I am using Chrome and was having problems with the DxDiag as well. I kept trying though and like the 10th time I ran the program it worked correctly (the first 9 times it ran fine but gave me an error when I tried to submit the information to the website). So if you are getting errors when trying to submit your computer hardware data, don't give up, it's probably them and not you... just keep trying :)

I'm so so so so so so so so so so so so whew so so so so so excited about this game.. I think we will have a home for a very very long time with GW2 :) I loved Rift... but it got old. The changes they make pretty regularly makes me keep coming back to check it out. The only real thing that keeps me paying for a sub is you all. I love you all so much!!! I can't wait to meet in our new home and really have some awesome adventures!!!

I just noticed this is very weird. Why is there another address? http://www.gaisciochnaanu.com/ Is this some guy trying to steal accounts or something? That is the website I put in the box when signing up and didn't want to give them a phishing website. Fog can you confirm this please?

http://www.gaisciochnaanu.com/ is us as well, but should go with the main name of Gaiscioch at www.gaiscioch.com which is the main one. Fog, correct me if I'm wrong, but this has been my understanding since Warhammer where we had 3 Gaiscioch guilds to handle all the chars. Also, just checked my mail and after having signed up I have an official email from Ncsoft to sign up in the next 48 hours. ::chuckles:: The fun thing it states: "Sign up now for a chance to participate in one of the upcoming Guild Wars 2 beta events this spring." So we sign up and wait! Get signed up, but don't hold your breath. We want you alive and breathing okay if you do get invited. ;)

I signed up and had application confirmed, just waiting on details. Beware of links in emails, I have had 2 GW2 beta emails from non-Anet sources since it was announced. It seems the keyloggers are already prepared.

I signed up today, but did not receive a confirmation email. Anyone else have this issue?

Just a heads up, unless I don't remember correctly from other games this beta will still be NDA bound. Which means you can't even say you got accepted (invited). Don't want anyone to run into trouble.

I got an email and followed links to sign up - IE9 win7 - no probs Excited!!!!!!!!! Crossing fingers for us all!

When it says to check your email for a confirmation, does that mean an invite to the "actual' beta, or a confirmation that the signup worked?

Signed up also. I couldn't type in the information fast enough! I received my confirmation email almost immediately. I am looking forward to playing with everyone once this comes out. I participated in alot of the events the family sponsored in Warhammer. Some of the best fun I had there. Currently spending my time in EVE online waiting for GW2 to release and playing COD:Black ops with the hubby on xbox. /wave see you all soon!

I still haven't got my confirmation email, but my son got his immediately.

why oh why does it take so long? I find myself having a hard time logging into any game or even watching a movie without wanting to check my email. I'm hooked already lol. Do we have a set server yet?

We don't even have a release date yet, let alone a list of server names. Beta I assume will all be on the one server (in order to stress test the limits of exactly what a server can handle).

Only thing you should see is an email that says the following: Thanks for signing up! Thanks for signing up for a chance to participate in the Guild Wars 2 beta test. We've received your application and we'll email you if you've been accepted. We appreciate your interest in Guild Wars 2! Sincerely, The Guild Wars 2 Team There is no date, no info, etc. That is to come when they decide who winds up in beta and who does not. What little I know is that is is "sometime" this spring, which is why I said not to hold your breath for any other mail beyond the confirmation that your application was received.

I had jackie sign us both up for it last night since jam stuck out here on a rig. 40+ hours and counting

Gypse... try a different browser? It stuck for me but switching browsers let it go through. I think sign ups are still open for another couple hours.

Over 1 million sign ups in 48 hours. Thats kind of scary.

Kinda scary, but entirely awesome! Peoples are content in my MMO of choice =D

edit: if you did not receive a confirmation email you can go to the sign up page and type in your email address to get the confirmation email. Doesn't tell you if you got in or not, but yarh

As of about 2:00 PM Central time GW2 announced on FB thy have received one million signups.

Why does it say closed on the title? Its scaring me.

-IF- and when any of us get accepted for Beta testing, PLEASE keep in mind that this is not early access to the game. This is a Beta test, which is intended to help both develop and further the potential success of this game. Any of us that are accepted will also be representing all of us here in the family, and we should take great strides to ensure we don't make our family look bad. (Just pointing this out after some of the comments I've seen in various forums from people who are putting in applications, and isn't directed at any single person here in the family.) @Shooo - The sign ups were for a limited time only(two days I believe).

Lakshmi i made that post from my phone, i texted the wife to sign us up through our computers. We both got emails that we are signed up just waiting to see if we get picked. it would suck if we was picked for two different tests.

Sign ups were still available today though. Over 1million people! Title said closed but I was still able to input my data and hopefully recieve an invite, got the email and everything. Guess I can only hope from the best from here on out.

There may also be an NDA (Non-Disclosure Agreement) that goes with this beta. If there is, be sure to follow the rules. If it says you can't tell anyone you are testing, you can NOT post here saying you were selected or talk about on vent or anywhere else. I've dealt with NDA's in several industries, not just game testing. If you break NDA they boot you and can even do legal ramifications. Some game companies use this and well I would feel better if ArenaNet did because it shows they are serious about keeping the lid on the game and only letting out what they want out. =) Like all those juicy tidbits so far that everyone is chomping on. So be aware of a possible NDA and do not tell anyone anything until you read it. You don't want to blow your chance before you get out of the gate and I've seen some crazy things happen if people get caught breaking NDAs. It's a serious piece that may go with this testing.
