Yeah, you win for the boonies, I at least have a grocery store 12 miles away in the town where one of the smaller state colleges is located (the one I'll go to if I can wing some money to change gears in IT). Walmart is 34 miles via mostly backroads one way and 45 miles the other, but mostly state road to that one. If we really want to shop and have more choices we'll go to the city 45 miles away instead, way more choices of everything.
I'm in one of those dead cell phone areas in the catskills. ::laughs:: Thankfully when I finally didn't need a cell phone much I was able to cancel with Verizon early without the fees and even got reimbursed for the prior two months of not using the phone at all. So sometimes Verizon isn't that bad, just had to wonder about them at times when I was working in the phone and networking side of the industry. ;) Had a guy try to tell me he couldn't do anything as I requested due to tariffs and well, I was telling him it would not have been ordered if tariffs didn't let me buy it. Anyway, he didn't realize my coworker go on the other phone with his boss's boss who was a good friend of his until the guy came up behind him. Just one of those crazy moments where you make a person realize they should not have messed with you.
