Got this in my email yesterday.  Haven't see it referenced on our forum.  I'll log back in once this opens up and see what I've missed.

Correct. Large content updated will come in the form of DLC that you pay for if you want to experience the content. There will also be a store that provides cosmetic/convince items, but nothing superior to max level crafted items. There will also continue to be a subscription model at $15 a month the gives you a monthly allowance of store coins and some other in game bonuses like more exp and what not.

The Family has a pretty tight knit group of ESO players, lots of daytime PvE, and nighttime PvP.  1.6 will be dropping soon, so we'll all have some changes to adjust to.  Feel free to call on anyone in RC for a hand if you need a boss or dolmen etc., and there are lots of crafters that will upgrade or make armor and enchants.  Welcome back!

in reference too verve's comment also there are regular weekly map clearances to help level up low level toons and i will be available if needed to help with any dungeon or zone clearances.  i run Giels low level map clearance if enough people are interested i will look at changing the scheduled time and day, of note though i'm in england so will need people to be realistic with there prefered times.

Is the new update fixing any phasing issues?

For the glass half full crowd:

Phasing will still occur, ESO is trying to cater to all the players that played previous (solo) Elder Scrolls titles, as well as those with MMO backgrounds.  They (we) are used to a progression story line, so (unfortunately) if you have gone past that part of the story, those that have not will be in a different phase.  On the bright side, Zos has made an effort to minimize phased areas on the map, and this game has introduced a whole new set of players to the wonderful world of MMO's.

Glass half empty:

There will be areas where you cannot play with or even see your group members.

I'll be coming back once this goes down.  While I enjoy DAOC and have dallied in SWTOR, Eve and Rift for the past few months, ESO still is the most beautiful and dynamic PVE out there.  While I really hate the linear content, I do love the DAOC-influenced PVP.  If DAOC used a newer engine, ESO would be a close second to it.  But since that isn't happening and I have a while before Camelot Unchained becomes a reality, ESO is going to be a long-term fix for me (probably will sub too, even after B2P comes down).
