Goibniu's Artisans New Rules
Current members of the Artisan guild: The rules for how to use the bank have changed and you need to post below to say you have read and agree to the plan outlined in this post, when one of the officers sees your post you will be given bank access. Also, please note that racial style stones are now available on the marketplace so we will no longer be putting them in the guild bank. Any that you can't use should be either put into the Gaiscioch bank or used to fill orders on the marketplace.
New members: Please be sure to read all of this post so that you understand the purpose of the guild and then bank use rules, if you want to apply post below to say you have read and agree.
This guild is only open to Gaiscioch members, but is not an official Gaisicoch guild and is not a Saighdear, however we do require that you conduct yourselves in the same manner as you would in Gaisicoch guilds with respect and family friendly chat. We only deal with Blacksmithing, Clothing and Woodworking, and Enchanting (because Provisioning and Alchemy do not use deconstruction)
So what is this Artisan Guild useful for?
One of the fastest ways to advance your crafting level in Blacksmithing, Woodworking, Clothing and Enchanting, is through deconstructing items. However, you do not get much inspiration from deconstructing your own items, and this is where the Artisan Guild comes in. The Artisan guild is set up to help people gain Inspiration (crafting exp) by exchanging items with each other that they then deconstruct. The main problem with exchanging items for deconstruction is that items don’t stack in trade window, or in mail, and for mail it would be expensive. So members can use the Artisan guild bank to complete these transactions.
We do not exchange raw mats, drops or anything that is available through the marketplace.
Current members note the following new system:
So, how do you use the guild bank? The 'Buddy System'.
Using guild chat ask, or offer, to do a crafting exchange session. State what type (ie Blacksmith, Woodworking, Clothing or Enchants) and what tier you are currently working on. If someone is online and is ready to go ahead you then need to agree on a few details before hand. You can use the Crafters' Commons Corner room in Raidcall to work out the details, or use text chat in game. (suggest making a new tab for tells, or for guild chat and change the chat color so you can easily see which chat you are in).
When exchanging with a craft buddy there are three things you need to agree on before hand:
1. TYPE of item eg. Clothing, Blacksmithing, Woodworking or Glyphs
2. NUMBER of items
3. TIER of the items you will exchange and what LEVEL.
IMPORTANT: Make sure you know the character/alt name that is making the items, it will not say the @name on the crafted item, and you need to know who’s items you are looking for in the bank during the exchange.
VERY IMPORTANT: Make sure you are depositing and withdrawing from the correct bank! It is much too easy in ESO to mistake which bank you are in. You should double check that your items are there after you have deposited them. A couple of times this week items that were clearly destined for the Artisan bank turned up in the Gaiscioch bank, which may account for a couple of the times that people thought their items had been taken and not replaced.
Anyone who chooses to continue with old system, of putting items in then waiting for someone else to take and replace them, needs to know that bank use is very difficult to monitor so it is at your own risk. There have been a couple of occasions this week when people have taken items and not replaced, or replaced with items of a different craft type. Please don't do this. The buddy system is much safer for everyone. Anyone found to be abusing the system will have their bank access removed immediately until a resolution is reached, mistakes happen but if you take other peoples items you must replace them or lose access to the bank.
Current members who have items in the bank right now can leave the items there and ask for a craft buddy in chat the same way as described above, the only difference is that your items are already there, or can remove your own items if you prefer and if you have the space to do so.
Finally, do not use the bank as a way to transfer items between your alts, do not ask people in the guild chat to refrain from using the bank while you transfer things to your alts because if one person does this then others will too.
Any question please feel free to contact me (Raighan) here on the website or in game, or one of the officers (current officers are: Vyse, Famaen, Barren and Elsimer)
