BDO Face Template sites

Most of have probably discovered the ability to save the customization data of characters you create in BDO. Turns out, there are a number of sites for sharing those files too.

The easiest to use is probably (courtesy of Nighthawk): http://download-backup.bdo-templates.com/ (apparently in the last 24 hours, the hosts have taken this site's content down, sadly)

I have also been using the following two, and loading the in Chrome to allow Google to auto-translate them for me.

A great way to get alternate faces than the default settings. Enjoy!

It looks like that first link was thrown into maintenance mode because the high traffic crashed their website and they have to upgrade, then someone decided to try to skim their assets from them.

Also, some of the uploads on that vk.com site are just... wow.  I was flipping through the pics and it's amazing to see what folks have created and shared.  I think that Pearl Abyss has maybe stumbled across something new here...

edit:  crap... that made my OCD itch hard and now I want to tweak my characters a bit.

I found a couple of faces that will make me give wizard a second look before settling for a witch. Also, another Warrior face that I may prefer tweaking over what I had done previously.  And a couple of Tamer faces that look enough not-like-a-child that I may give that class a second look too.

I have to stay away from this knowning that the CC is down. I'd want to jump in and personalize. >.<

Look like http://download-backup.bdo-templates.com/ is moving to http://bdotemplates.com/ since they have been having issues. No downloads yet but have a lot of faces on site. Looks like they started building today. They are trying to get it up as soon as possible.

Nice find Nighthawk. Looking forward to the files being available. I want to try making Oxxy's Wizard into something i would play.

Awesome, I got Oxxy's wizard and will try customizing it on Sunday morning to see if I can make something acceptable, or if I go for the super-cute witch I already have made up.

if your choice is Ranger Lucy for example at address http://www.bdotemplates.com/ranger/lucy/

you would add a -template to the end of the address like this

So how exactly does this work?

Download the file, then rename it to CustomizationData."class" then you load it while in your Character Creator.

ex: For the Lucy ranger exampled above, you download the file (may have to follow Nighthawk's tips for some w/o download link), then rename that file to CustomizationData.ranger, put it in your \Documents\Black Desert\Customization folder, then start the game, choose to create a new character and you'll see a Load button on bottom left side of the character creation screen.

Rest is self-explanatory.

The name is not so important with the system now. I tend to name mine like "wizard-oxxy" or "witch-red". What really matters is that you know what each file is, so you can use it appropriately.

can you make changes from the template after you import it?

Yea, I saw they changed the naming requirements.  IIRC, in CBT1, they have to have a certain naming format for the Load function to recognize them.

Yes, you can make any changes you want after you load a template.  Remember to Temp Save your work often and do a full save when you have certain work done and want to make sure it's not lost.

You can save as the same file, or just make a new one, name it however you want.
