Craythur's Craw: Dungeon Lockout Timers

By: Craythur

And now for something completely different.

In keeping with my grumpy reputation (I'm roleplaying! Really! lol) here's a Warhammer Mechanic I find difficult to swallow. Dungeon Lock Out Timers. Specifically, lock out timers for instances that are not end game instances.

Given the gear gap between fresh forties and long time veterans would it really be game breaking to let folks kill Crypt/Tunnel bosses once every 24 hours? Once every 48 hours? You still have to be lucky enough for your class drop to, er, drop. Some of us have better luck with that than others. *mutters into his ale mug*

It would be much easier for our Family to help each other get those greater wards if we could run these instances more often. Sigmar knows Craythur needs nothing from Crypts & Tunnels. I'd be glad to help run these for other folks however. Why can't I help do that more than once per week?

Lost Vale could due with shorter lock outs as well. That would free us from the tyranny of once per week lock outs and help more folks get sexy Dark Promise gear. Given how many of our foes are running around in full Warlord/Soveriegn/Tyrant would it really be game breaking for more people to be wearing Dark Promise in T4? Again, you still have to be lucky enough to see drops for your class. A shorter lock out timer would allow us to take more people through the Nansy Pansy "We can't save our Queen on our own" Elf instance. No serious disrespect intended to our High Elf allies. But really. You don't see the dwarves crying on beaches over abducted Royalty. I digress...

Tomb of the Vulture Lord is another matter. Tyrant is arguably better than Sovereign in some cases, or at least used to be until very recently, so that instance could stay on a longer lock out for all I care.

Shorter lockouts would allow us to invite more people to run these instances. Surely that's a good thing?
